do you use any special equipment to record?

Not really. Just my laptop, a headset and a couple of apps (iFreecorder to record, Audacity to edit).

also, I've read Blood Meridian, and two other of mccarthy's books. they're tough but worth it.

I've read The Road, No Country For Old Men and All The Pretty Horses. All excellent and more accessible than Blood Meridian.

I liked All the Pretty Horses and it's sequel. I keep meaning to read the last book in that series.
