Is a really good RPG but I'm quite shocked it is rated 12. While the game doesn't have bad language it does have some strong sexual context and some of the bosses are down right sadistic. I mean cruel, unforgiving, and all sorts of messed up in the head. Don't get me wrong I know final fantasy titles have had their share of crazy. However half of Bravely Defaults boss fights are humans instead of monsters. Half the boss fights I've experienced were the ones that give you more jobs to use along the way. I've fought some boss monsters but more humans if anything. I really wasn't expecting this from Bravely Default. Don't get me wrong, I love this game. Dan would tell you it's all I play recently. I'm just taken aback from how it has such adult themes to it.
I currently am in Chapter 3. It seems like no matter how much you level in a previous area, the new area you go to is out to tear your bones from ur skin and drink your blood. I remember going to Florem at level 20s with everyone and I got my ass beat a few times trying to level. It's the same in chapter 3 too. The game is very grind heavy. If you can not stand grinding do not even touch this game. Not only do you level the characters themselves but the jobs have their own levels and experience in the form of job points. Ive been told Chapter 3 and forwards it's easier to level jobs but chapter 1 and 2 take patience and time.
I love all the characters but I'm more team Edea then Agnes. I actually got pissed at Agnes for how she treated Edea when the truth about her tie to the leader of the Eternian Forces came about. It's like she forgot that Edea has been fighting by her side this whole time killing people she knows to keep her and the others safe. Edea is a traitor to her home state now so she has practically sacrificed a ton to stay by the groups side. I know it's silly since their just video game characters but that's one thing I love when a good game makes you have feelings for the characters. It's like a good book!
Anywho that's just my current thoughts on the game. I'm definitely loving it and am glad I've finally got to play it. My favorite job so far is Ranger, makes you look like a wolf!
