Flash in the Pan

How is everyone doing!? Good I hope. So I took advantage of the flash sale the other day and got a nice little haul.

Pacman Tournament edition is a lot of fun and addictive as hell.

Galaga Tournament edition feels more like a beefed up version of Astroids but its still a lot of fun.

Telltales Poker Night 2. I have been wanting this one for a while even though I'm not that much of a poker player. The banter between the ecclectic cast of Brock Samson, Ash from Evil Dead, Clap Trap, Moxxi and Steve from Borderlands, and Sam And Max make this game a lot of fun. Unfortunelately is has a bad habit of freezing up, not sure what that is about.

Tokyo Jungle is a very strange game. I have only played the toutorial but I like what I have seen so far.

I also grabbed both of the Sam & Max collections, I have never played these game before but I have recently become a fan of TellTales stuff so it was a easy choice.

Although it was not in the flash sale I also had to get the next chapter of Tales from the Borderlands. If there is one thing that sets the Borderlands universe appart from other shooters is the impressive and memorable cast. Tales really takes advantage of this and has added some cool characters of their own.

I also have been playing Shadow of the Collosus from the hd collection. This game still gives me chills at times, it really feels so ahead of its time. Makes me bitter about The Last Guardian all over again.

Anyhow, thats all I got, thanks for reading.

They will likely be on there next time, whenever that is. At the very least they might still be some what cheap like $5.

I only bought Klonoa. I played the Wii remake and really liked it but I don't actually own it. I've heard the original has its own charms anyway. I considered getting those Sam & Max collections but I already own one of those on the Wii and I've never touched it, so I figured what's the point of getting two more?

I never got around to getting Klonoa on the PS1 but I had a demo I used to play from time to time. I bought it at regular price on pns a while back, it was only $5 at the time. It really is a fun game.

I bought Sam & Max and Pacman too.  Many of the other games I bought during another flash sale.

Rumors about The Last Guardian is still coming pop up ever once in a while.  Last I heard, it was getting a release.  That was a couple months ago.

Yeah, I remember reading about the Guardian rumors too. Hope there is some truth to it. At the time it sounded like they had scrapped the original build and started all over again.

I got Beyond Time and Space because I already had The Devil's Playhouse. I love the Sam and Max games, unlike recent Telltale games they're quirky and funny as opposed to dark and violent.

I really miss the 'old' TellTale.

I'm just now discovering their stuff but I'm looking forward to the craziness of Sam & Max. Although it is violent, in true Borderlands form there is plenty of off the wall humor in Tales From the Borderalnds.

I did get Pac-Man Championship Edition DX+ at the PSN sale.  Even though I have it on 360, for less than a buck, heck yeah!  There were some other good sales, but most of the PSOne games I have on disc already.

I was tempted to get the Dino Crisis games. I still have a demo for them from my OPM subscription back in the day. I just never was very good at the survial horror type games. But yeah, you can't beat games for buck.

I've always wanted to try the Dino Crisis games too.  But I said 'nah' to those. Got plenty of other things to play and review right now.

I've been thinking of returning to the Borderlands games recently but Diablo III has kept me from it. I just listened to Randy Pitchford on Major Nelson's podcast talking about The Handsome Edition. I'm really tempted to get a Xbox One right now because of the Master Chief Collection bundle. Having B2 and TPS on there with upgraded graphics would be icing on the cake.

I'm not in a hurry to get a PS4, but when I do I def getting handsome collection. I jumped back into TPS and have been playing as Wilhelm after taking a little break and I'm enjoying it a lot more. I would like to get Diablo, I really liked Baldurs Gate 2 and I think these games are similar in style.

Diablo is way like Baldur's Gate Dark Alliance 1 and 2.

I've never played Shadow of the Colossus but I own it digitally.  I keep on meaning to play it, but life gets in the way.

The cool thing about this game is it is very easy to pick up and put down. You don't have an inventory to keep track of or a lot of people to talk to so its pretty much a matter of tracking down the collosi and take it down. But it is very addictive and the landscape will make you want to explore.
