Scholar of the First Sin or Dark Souls 2 Master Quest

I haven't played Dark Souls 2 again after finishing it last year. As much as I liked Dark Souls 2, I much still prefer it's predecessors Demon's and Dark Souls 1. Not to say the game is bad in any way. I just felt a bit underwhelmed after reaching the end. I really missed that sense of cohesion that the previous world created along with the massive boss fights that took up the screen.
I had been hoping for a DLC on the level of Atorias from Dark Souls to make the game feel complete again, but now that I sit back and look back on it all, it's seems to be more of a series of short stories strung together rather than a whole one, and I'm fine with that. Anyhow, I decided to jump back in with a new character for Sholar of the First Sin, and I'm not sure if the changes carry over between all platforms, but so far it all feels like Zelda Master Quest in that enemies appear where they normally shouldn't, and enemies have been moved from where they were before. I wounder if there is any lore siginificance to this? Hmm.
Also, I put up a couple of reviews previously in case you missed them. One for Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea and Resident Evil Revelations 2.
