Good morning Pixlbit, how is your Monday? So far in Sunny SoCal it is a cool 63 degrees on this breezy start to the week. I think this is the first full week in April so it is time to take a look at what I did in March, as well as what I’ve been playing this past week. Sound fun? Good let’s get this party started!

 

 

I started 11 games and 1 DLC in March and finished 4 of them. I wish there was more to the Suicide Squad DLC in Lego Batman 3 but it was fun using some familiar faces (Thanks Green Batman err Arrow!) I don’t see much hope in playing through Ferrari on PS3 and Fast and Furious Legacy on the iPad. Ferrari is in first person mode and I really don’t like that in racers, and Fast and Furious is a lot of grinding, and there are more interesting games to play instead of spending a lot of time trying to get my car up to par for one race, just to do it all over again in another.

The biggest surprise in all of this is my enjoyment of Playstation All Stars. I didn’t get it much of a chance when I bought it on PS3, but after playing a bit on the Vita I’m really enjoying it. I really should play through the combos tutorial but I have a system that seems to be working and so far I’ve played through the storylines of Kratos and Cole from inFamous. I think I’m going to make a strong push at playing the game with all the characters just to see what I can unlock.

 

What I’ve been playing

 

Cars 2 – PS3

After watching Fast & Furious 7 what better way to live my life a quarter mile at a time than to play Cars 2. I’ve made more progress in the game and jumped a couple of levels in my character’s development. I ditched the red car for some Le Mans car (I have no idea what the character’s names are. I’m such a terrible former Cast Member.) There were only a couple of races that were replayed because I got sniped closed to the finish line and ended up finishing second. There is this mode called Battle where you are on this platform and you have to take out these dummy cars as well as enemy cars that are trying to take you out. This was a lot of fun especially since a bunch of dummy cars like to congregate in one section and using one of the special weapons takes out everyone.

 

Who Wants To Be A Millionaire – PS3

Still hovering around question 9 or 10. I tend to play this game maybe once or twice a day. I’ll go on a run one day and hit that million.

 

Grand Theft Auto V – PS4

Oh it is fun going back to this game and playing through it again. I’ve played through a couple of missions with Trevor but I’m gonna hang with Franklin for a bit and maybe get more cars. I do this thing where I customize a bunch of cars and never use them for fear of them being trashed. I can’t be the only one that does this.

 

Lego Movie Video Game – PS4

I haven’t played it in a week or two but when I do its usually just one level per play because I’m a bit burned out on the series.

 

MLB 15 The Show – PS4

Since I couldn’t get my Road To The Show transferred from my MLB 14 game to 15 like the game said it could, I decided to just start a new career. I actually did a lot better than in 14. I had a horrible rookie showcase and ended up being drafted in the 4^th round after going back to college. In 15 I got picked 15^th in the 1^st round by the New York Mets

 

I decided to skip college and head straight to the minors. The funny thing is my first Video Game Chris on MLB 12 was drafted by the Mets and made it to the show in my third year. My previous experience was in MLB 08 when the Reds drafted me.

 

NBA 2K14 – PS4

Ok this pisses me off. 2K decided to shut off its servers, which is fine, but their GM Mode, roster updates, and I think uniforms are tied into this. What!? How freaking absurd is this? Why is an offline file tied to online servers? After being extremely unhappy (there are other colorful words but I’m trying to keep my postings as PG as possible.) I decided to start a new GM roster, which surprisingly isn’t connected to online, and this time I turned on all the regular GM things. This is where the silver lining comes in: I am enjoying this team much more than the Super Knicks.

I started with the Memphis Grizzlies and proceeded to trade away their front court with the exception of Z-Bo, and their starting Shooting Guard. The new starting lineup is Mike Conley, Jason Richardson, Evan Turner, Zach Randolph, and Al Horford. I got Giannis Antetokounmpo for practically nothing and he’s my scoring punch coming off the bench. The team is long, athletic and young (except for Jason Richardson. I think he will be a one year player until Jerryd Bayless is ready) I made them a transition team and a lot of the points come from in the paint with Horford and Randolph. Currently the Runnin’ Griz are 9-0.

 

Playstation All-Stars – PSVita

Like I said at the start of this entry, I finished the game with Kratos and Cole, and probably later on today I will start it up again with another fighter. I really should use all the fighters I don’t care for now, just to get it out of the way for the fighters I do like.

 

Find Mii – 3DS

So I decided to power up my 3DS after redeeming my Platinum gift from Club Nintendo and I saw that I did have a street pass so I bought a couple of extra players to go with my one street pass and finally finish Find Mii. It turns out that I was really close to finishing it already and after a couple of minutes I got this screen

 

Yeah I really need to clean that top screen. I really need to get on the ball and finish off that flying Mii game now especially since I spent actual money on it.

 

Candy Crush – iPad

 

I’m currently stuck on a stupid level and I seriously considered buying this just to get through it. I quickly shook that notion off because there is no way I’m spending money on this game. I’ll delete it off the iPad before I ever hit Buy.

 

Game of Thrones – iPad

 

I decided to try and play this Telltale Game while sitting in a doctor’s office waiting room. I decided to give it a try because the first episode was free and I wanted to see if this game is worth buying so I spent a good 30 minutes playing it in the waiting room and so far I’m on the fence about buying the game. For you GoT fans it takes place right around the time of Red Wedding (such a good episode) and it involves a new house, The House Forrester and I guess it weaves itself into the main storyline. I’ll probably finish the first episode and decide from there.

 

Simpsons Tapped Out – iPad

 

Radioactive Man has a house!

The Simpsons had a special Easter quest where the Easter Bunny sent you on three quests, where you earned 25 donuts in total. This was actually fun and can’t complain about free premium currency.

 

WWE Immortals – iPad

 

There was an update a little over a week ago where the Stone Cold Steve Austin was included into the roster as well as a tournament for the Gold Macho King. This was from I believe one of the early Wrestlemania’s when he was carried to the ring. Anyways I finished the tournament and unlocked

Ok Pixlbit I must be off. I have a project due by the end of the day, and I need to finish it and send it off for the ok. Also today Baseball is back! I’m excited to see how my Angels and Padres will do this year. The Padres made some crazy trades this offseason and brought in more talent yesterday. Here’s to hoping for the Angels vs. Padres World Series or what I’ve been calling the Holy War. Have a good week Pixlbit!
