 Leveling up has its perks...

Mystery Gift

Howdy everyone, hope you've been well. Thanks again for the birthday wishes, I really appreciate it. I got some stuff for my bday and I thought it was about time I post another edition of mystery gifts. I've meant to post this earlier but I got a bit sidetracked with what I got. Anyway, here's the stuff I got:

N3DSXL&eShopCard

I got an eShop card from my bros and a New 3DS XL! I never expected to get a new 3DS, let alone the N3DSXL but I got one now. Not sure what to spend the eShop card on, I've been thinking on spending it on all the Hyrule Warriors dlc, or wait till Nintendo puts up Metroid: Zero Mission up on the eShop. Hopefully they do put it up because I really want to try it.

N3DSXL Data Transfer

Before I opened it up, I had to delete alot of my downloadable games since most of them didn't fit on the 4gb card that the XL comes with. It also took a long time that I had to leave it transfering my data overnight. There's 3 ways of transfering your stuff, one is wireless, the other is transfering all your stuff, but it'll take longer, and a lite transfer that transfer your info like NNID, eShop purchases and more, but your games would be deleted, but you could download them back afterwards and will allow you to recover your savefiles. I chose that one, it took less time but by the time it was at 20%, I was sleepy so I left it overnight, just had to make sure I plugged the recharger on both.

 Robotnik Promotion

I also gave myself a promotion and decided to get myself this:

Xenoblade Chronicles 3D

I got it because I loved it so much on the Wii, and I was a bit worried it might get scalpped and become rare. I know it's available in more places now, but you never know. I guess it's a birthday gift from me to me. As for first thoughts on it, the first thing people are complaining about it, is the textures. It doesn't bother me, all I care about is that I don't need a tv to play this now. As whether you should get this or not, if you have a Wii, then get that one. If you have a New 3DS, then this one is for you. Wii's are cheap now, a Wii mini is around 100 bucks, and a used copy of Xenoblade is around 40 bucks on Gamestop. That's around 140 bucks. On the New 3DS, since there isn't a smaller model, you're going to need to pay up 200 for the XL and an extra 40 for Xenoblade 3D. I guess it really winds down on your budget.

I also got Animal Crossing New Leaf as my Club Nintendo platinum reward. I skipped the one on the Wii but I'm having fun with this one. I think I got my mayor's permit now and had payed my 4th  loan to that loan shark I mean Tom Nook.

I also started rewatching the original Pokemon anime and it's a nostalgic trip. I also decided to open my Sailor Moon dvd and watch some episodes despite already watching the first dubbed episodes on Hulu. Not sure why, but I just love this anime. I loved it as a kid and still do. Same with Pokemon.

Well that's everything for now. I will have an impressions post on the New 3DS XL soon-ish. Thanks for reading, later, and May the 4th be with You/Happy Cinco de Mayo.

Congrats on the N3DS. I was considering getting one but got an XB1 instead. Wanna see what Nintendo has planned with the thing before I take the plunge.

Thanks. I was going to get one, but got one sooner than I thought. At least I can catch up on unfinished/unplayed 3DS games. And yeah, that's probably a good idea. And congrats on the XB1, hope you're having fun with it!

My friend wants a Wii now. I thought about getting that mini-Wii and giving him my old one, but I think I might come across a regular Wii at a thift store sometime for very cheap, so I think I wait for that. Gamestop has a deal now for a Wii and five games for $80. I think I can find just the system for much cheaper somewhere.

Congrats on the New 3DS. I love mine. The main reason I got one was for Xenoblade Chronicles but the second analog nub and the faster processor are definitely worth it on their own.

I haven't found a  Wii copy of Xenoblade anywhere for less than $100 or I'd buy it again. Plus the drive on my Wii is horribly loud and distracting.

Walmart had Wii minis for 90 bucks the other day but then there would be the issue of transferring licenses from the old one.

yay for the New 3DS!  I love mine.  Who cares about the graphics for Xenoblade, it's Xenoblade on a handheld!  Yay!

happy belated birthday, man.  sounds like you had a good one.

I'm considering a New 3DS for christmas and I wouldn't have a problem with wireless transfer since I have not a single downloadable content due to Nintendo not bringing the Eshop to Colombia and Latin America.

I would go for the Wii version of Xenoblade, but as Mothman said, it's pretty much expensive as hell by now and there's no GameSpot or any equivalent where I live that can sell them "cheap". Honestly, if I just play the game as its own thing, I don't think i'll be that much bothered.
