Good Morning Pixlbit! Currently it is a cool 73 degrees here in my little piece of Southern California and I am running on a headache so if things don’t make sense in my latest blog you know why. Anyways how are you good people doing? I hope everything is well and GAME OF THRONES is back! Yesterday I caught the East Coast showing which is 6pm here just in case I wanted to watch it again during our regular airing. I dug it and I can’t wait to see what this season has in store (I kind of have an idea.) Anyways enough TV talk, that is Friday’s topic, so let’s get started with today’s update

 

Spring Cleaning

After watching the East Coast feed of Game of Thrones, I decided it was time to do a bit of Spring Cleaning on my iPad and Vita. I got rid of a bunch of Apps and Games and freed up a couple of GB of space. I still can’t get myself to erase all the Angry Birds games, but I’m getting closer. As for the Vita, I removed games I know I won’t play anymore, and Lego Batman 3 because I earned the Platinum on it and I won’t play it anymore.

 

Selling Games

I’m starting to think about selling my games that I no longer play. I mean its cool to say I have these games, but they are just taking up space. I know I am going to get screwed on resell value but what’s the use of these games just sitting besides that video game bubble is going to burst sooner rather than later. I probably won’t do it, but this thought has popped up a couple of times over the last couple of months.

What I'm Playing

Drive Club – PS4

I spent the most time with this game and first impression it is like Need For Speed Pro Street mixed in with a bit of your typical racing games. I think the whole build a club aspect is interesting and I haven’t heard back from the club on Cheapassgamer. If you good people know of any clubs and want a new member, let me know. As for the game itself so far I am liking it but the drifting is a little different than ProStreet but I found out that there are Drift courses you can play in the single race mode (Thanks YouTube!) where I can practice and build up accolades.

 

NBA 2K14 – PS4

The Runnin’ Grizzles are 10-0, fan support is around 72% and my team is still in the red for profits. I think this number eventually goes into the black once I get to the middle of the season. More teams are now starting to double team the inside game of Randolph/Horford, which leaves either one of them open or someone on the perimeter.

I got offered my first trade by the game and I didn’t go for it because the player they wanted has an expiring contract and the player they were offering was an older lower rated player with a two-year deal.

 

Grand Theft Auto V – PS4

I played through a couple of missions and I started to customize Franklin a bit. Surprisingly this game is still a lot of fun and I think I might get further in the game’s side missions than in the PS3 version.

 

The Lego Movie Videogame – PS4

Yeah I think I’m getting burned out playing another version of this game. This game just isn’t as fun as the Batman or DC games, and the stages just feel long.

 

MLB 15 The Show – PS4

I am around game 10 or 11 in my in Road To The Show career and so far Video Game Chris loves hitting doubles or long flyouts. I think I might just creates a new character for every game because I like moving though the minors into the Show.

 

Lego Batman 3 – PS3

I haven’t played this game in a bit but I saw that there was free DLC for it in the form of new characters

 

It seems like there is 300 (not really) characters in this game, which I’m not complaining about because there is a ton of content for what I paid for the game.

 

Playstation All-Stars – PSVita

I played through the game with three more characters with Nariko, PaRappa, and Evil Cole. I really don’t listen to the storylines and I just like unlocking the avatars and backgrounds. I guess I missed out on the free DLC to unlock the two characters and the other one cost money so I’m skipping on that one.

 

Sun Flowers – PSVita

I found this game on my Vita while doing a bit of Spring Cleaning

 

It has to be a PS+ freebie so I decided to give it a try. The point of this game is to grow different varieties of flowers. You control the sun and shoot sunbeams. The objective is to water the flowers and to do so, you shoot the sunbeams into moving clouds and that creates water. All the controls are touch based so its easy to move and tap to make the flowers grow. The game is split into three different sections based on difficulty. As you progress the game increases in difficulty.

 

You have two options of game play: Classic and Tropical. I’ve only played Classic and so far it’s a cute game. The best part especially for you classical music fans is that Vivaldi’s Spring from The Four Seasons is playing.

 

Candy Crush Soda Something Something – iPad

I forgot the exact name but I stopped playing this game, and it didn’t survive the Spring Cleaning. I can’t say I’m bummed its gone, but its no longer in the lineup.

 

Simpsons Tapped Out – iPad

 

Frank Grimes is back. He dug himself out of the grave.

 

Mortal Kombat X – iPad

 

So I’ve had a weekend to play a bit of this game, and there are a lot of improvements on this type of fighting game. The best update is that as you level up, your character’s stamina bars also refill so there is no longer the waiting for it to refill, and slowing down your game. The things that do bother me about this game is that it seems to slow down the iPad when loading the game. The controls are still the same swipe and tapping like those found in Injustice and Immortals but the graphics have taken a step up along with the presentation.

 

Each day you log in you get a daily reward and the rewards seem pretty good. Everything from gold, to fighters, to souls (I’m assuming the souls refill your stamina.) The one thing I found that doesn’t work is when you buy a character you can’t use the glitch of repeatedly tapping on purchase to get multiple characters for one price (you Android users can get a ton of fighters this way, whereas on iOS you can only get 3-4 fighters)

 

I guess there is going to be some Multiplayer battles just like the previous games along with a daily challenge that I’m assuming you can earn more gold. I usually stick with just stick with the normal story mode.

What I really like so far is that the load screens are artwork from the new game

NBA 2K And Their Online Connection Problems

This article is from Polygon, and the whole connecting with Online servers is stupid especially with offline things. Also another big thing that bugs me is the updated rosters and uniform updates also disappeared. This is by far the biggest blunder that 2K has done since moving away from 2K5 baseball mechanics. Everything past 2K5 has been trash.

From Hypebeast there is another colorway for LeBrons. I’m not a fan but some of you might be.
