Hello my METAL HEADS! I hope everyone had a good weekend and listened to some METAL!

Before I start this Metal Monday, Last week the Metal community lost a great one "Clive Burr" the drummer for Iron Maiden when they first started out. Here is a tribute video, not made by me, just shared.

R.I.P CLIVE BURR

NOW FOR THE METAL!

I am starting today off with one of my favorite stoner metal bands "Clutch", their new album drops tomorrow and I will be there to get it. This is the tittle Track "Earth Rocker."

Damn is this Iron Maiden? I know it is not but I think Iron Maiden had some influence.

Judas influence?

I hope you have enjoyed todays picks. Now, GO FORTH AND METAL! \m/

Clive Burr....what a loss. Great drummer he was. He was the drummer when I first got into Maiden. After the release of Killers. I saw the original singer,Paul DiAnno,on That Metal Show last season. Guy is still out there plugging away! Looks like some great music. I will be back to listen to all of them later on today.

Helker is fantastic! Why have I not heard of them? So good....that singer is influenced by Dio I think. But the song does have sort of an Iron Maiden vibe. Clutch is some good stoner metal. I have heard of them before. Like their style very much.

There is a big mix in Helker, I think, they are a great band.

"Hallowed Be Thy Name," my favorite Maiden song. RIP Clive Burr.

"Earth Rocker" - I both love and hate that guy's voice. I can't explain it. I do like the riffs when the song gets going.

"No Chance to Be Reborn" - Sounds a bit heavier (or at least tuned lower) than Maiden, and I'm not sure I'm hearing the "Maiden gallop" in the instrumental, but I see what you mean, especially by the chorus vocals; sounds like a mix of Dickenson and the male singer from Nightwish, and has a really good melody. Whether it sounds like Maiden or not, though, incredibly good song, I think. Thanks for sharing.

"Mesmerized by Fire" - I'm hearing more Motley Crue, but I love Motley Crue; amazing live band too, saw them with Goddmack a few years ago, need to see Priest live if I can. There is a lot of Priest influence in the instrumental, but if I didn't know better, I'd say Vince Neil was singing that chorus. Again, either way, I hear what you're saying, I just hear other influences as well, and it's a great song, thanks for the post!

"Hard Times" - Sounds like a great moshing tune for sure, great mix of intensity and melody. Since we're talking influences today, Hatebreed? I hear it in there, but I honestly thing this band's instrumental is a lot more diverse than Hatebreed's usually is. Either way, Hatebreed is great live, and I'd love to see these guys as well.

"sblood" - Wasn't quite as into this one, but I do like the drums.

"The Reap" - Love that riff.

Great selections today, pretty much all of them had awesome riffs and vocals. Now I know what bands to plug into Spotify Radio on my run today. Laughing

They finally stopped throwing xray exams at me so I was able to come back. That song by Inter Arma fried my brain a bit! 4 minutes in it explodes, it is a study in intensity. Vision Of Disorder was alright, but not something I'd listen to a lot. Enforcer is just my speed. You are so right, big Priest influence with them I believe. I am a man stuck in the 80's I think. Stuff I listen to is either from the 80's,inspired by it,or sounds somewhat like 80's stuff. Guess it's cause that's what I grew up with. Speaking of Priest,I heard something about KK Downing the other day. He may make music again. Something about a band he is forming.

I know Priest is back in the studio and planning another tour. I will have to check on that. I am really excited about Black Sabbath back in the studio, Ozzy and all, I remember mostly Kiss from the late 70's LOL, Like I am old, but between Punk, classic rock and Metal that was my 80's. Maybe a few old school rap albums.  I do see back in November they wanted KK to play on a Who tribute album. I got that off of his web page. I am glad you liked most of the tunes today. I am getting the new Clutch CD tomorrow.
