I used to love El-P's work, but I've kind of lost touch with hip hop for some reason. Thanks for the tracks though.
Have Some Weird Hip Hop.

Hey guys. I haven't been blogging much. Idk, just haven't really felt like it for whatever reason. Oh well. Have some music. I've been listening to a lot of hip hop lately so expect more of that than usual.
Earl Sweatshirt - I Don't Like Shit, I Don't Go Outside
Damn. This came out of nowhere. Literally, he announced the album like 3 weeks before it came out. And when it came out I was expecting another Doris - good, but riding Tyler's dick a bit too much. With this new album, Earl has really cemented his own style and separated himself from the rest of Odd Future. He's more introspective. He's more depressed. His music is darker. And it's better. This is a far more consistent album than Doris, and one that doesn't rely anywhere near as much on guest spots.
El-P - I'll Sleep When You're Dead
Firstly, this song samples Fallout. Because it's that fucking awesome. Secondly, this album is AMAZING! El-P's best in my opinion. It's filled with oppressive sci-fi style electronica beats and dense lyrics with nods to Phillip K. Dick, Isaac Asimov and hell, even Twin Peaks. Just listen.
Busdriver - Perfect Hair
If you know Busdriver, you know him for that awesome track "Imaginary Places" from the Tony Hawk's Underground soundtrack. Go listen to that at some point because it's one of the best alternate hip hop tracks of all time.
For this album though, he goes for much more bizarre backing tracks. And it's great. This track has Aesop Rock and Danny Brown in it, so you can kinda tell what you're getting into just from that.
Shabazz Palaces - Black Up
Yep. Avant Garde rap. Just listen and be amazed. I love how his songs always end somewhere completely different from where they started.
