If delays create a better product, then I am all for them. The thing that I really have an issue with is companies announcing games more than 1 year out. I think that in an ideal world, companies would reveal a game at E3 or some function and the game would release a few months later. If more companies did this then I think that we would have fewer major game delays.
I'm Not Liking This New Trend....

So has anyone else noticed that game delays are becoming more and more popular? Everytime it seems a game is getting pushed back. I know it's better for them to delay than release a broken game but I mean come on, don't give a release date if the game isn't no where near done. If your give me a date or even a estimated time frame then that should mean it's atleast halfway or near complete. Well for those excited for Dead Island 2 your waiting till next year now. I was excited for this title but the very little updates on it gave away that it was going to get delayed. I just don't like that this is becoming a trend. I knows delays have always been apart of the gaming industry but you can not fucking tell me it's not getting worse because it is. Grand Theft Auto 5 for PC*2 times,I think*, The Witcher 3*2 times*, The Order, Batman Arkham Knight and now Dead Island 2. There is probably more that I'm not remembering. I just even has a teenager delays did not seem to happen this much and now practically a great deal of big name titles are being pushed back. I think I'll just do myself a favor and not put too much faith into release dates anymore until it's a day away from release.
