Saints Row IV announced!!!!

Oh my God! No hangover this morning. I behaved myself last night so all is well. I was going to blog about something entirely different this morning,but it will have to wait. I started to update my podcasts and this story was all over the place. Had no idea it was coming. I had my doubts about the future of this franchise after what happened at THQ. Thank you so much Volition for not letting it die. The first Saint's Row game was one that had to grow on me. The second was much better. But Saint's Row theThird was epic. My son and I played the hell out of it. At first I thought it was just a cartoony version of GTA. But the more I played I saw a method to the madness. They took the genre to another level. Everything was bigger,faster,cooler,and even humorous. This franchise is not for everyone,to be sure. But if you like crazy open world mayhem,this game is the top of the heap. Saint's Row IV is set to release this August. I don't know if they will top the last game,but it will be interesting to find out.

Cartoony GTA doesn't sound bad to me; I get bored with "sandbox" games, but I did always like GTA missions and SOME roaming, and while I haven't played a Saints Row, it looks like the franchise knows not to take itself seriously, which in my opinion is a good thing.

Mouthful of Diamonds was great, very soothing and ethereal.

The Ladytron one was just cool. I love driving in the city at night to music like that.

I love some good night driving music. Electronic stuff like Kavinsky is the best for me. Some of his music is based on cars driving through the night. Saints Row can get goofy. The next installment is no exception. Aliens and superpowers?
