I'm Done Playing Persona Q

Finally beat the first of the two bosses and started on the last one. I wasn't expecting to get anywhere because I was completely out of MP items and nobody had much MP left. I was relying on criticaI hits to give me 0 cost skills. I got 3/4 of his HP off and thought I'd be able to tough it out when he completely healed himself up again.

I know it could have been stopped with magic bind or panic but I couldn't get either to connect. For whatever reason it seems that bosses let you connect with those afflictions only once in an encounter and then you just waste MP missing over and over again.

I hit the power button and I'm never going back.

damn.  well, you gave it your best.  I haven't touched Etrian Odyssey since I got stuck on a boss, but I will go back eventually.  I've been playing Xenoblade.

Incidentally, did you buy/play Broken Age?  I started it but it kind of annoyed me.  It wasn't as relaxing as other adventure games I've been playing.

I actually bought it on iOS. LOL I've played a little bit. It's ok so far.

I'll be going back to Xenoblade. I just love everything about that game. I need to finish Suikoden II at some point. I kind of lost interest but I'm going to see it through to the end.

That's frustrating. Bosses should never be again to heal all the way in one turn. That sucks.

Yeah they use that device a couple of times during the game and it just takes all the joy out of the effort you've put in. I can see healing up a couple of thousand but making you start over from the beginning with a worn out team is just ridiculous. It's especially bad that you have to fight both bosses over again if you fail on the second one.

Ooh, I had such a time with those two bosses. Took me a few tries before I was able to take 'em both down. I read about a trick to prevent the second one from healing itself but it went terribly and didn't try it again.

I hate regenerating bosses.

Welcome to the club.  Congrats on lasting longer than me.  I quit a couple weeks ago.  My plan was to take a break so I could get back at it fresh.  After a week off, I realized I didn't care much for the game and I'm not going back.

Well I may wind up going back to see how much more of the demon compendium I can  complete. I'm at 83% right now. I like fusing as many demons as possible.

I really enjoy fusing and battles, but the game drags on too much.

I played Xenoblade for a while and then had to go back because I've never let a Persona game beat me before. Long story short I was able to finish the game this time.

It did drag on way too long but I got to see the ending and finish that second boss without him regenerating. On to something new now.

I don't know if I could ever go back.  Just looking at the case gives me a headache.  It's annoys me that it wasn't that hard.  There were too many annoyingly tedious obsticles slowing down forward progress.  Just the thought of putting in over 130 hrs with probably over another 30 hrs to go is disheartening. Cry

oh for the days of cheat codes/devices.

bosses like those don't deserve a fair fight.
