Good morning Pixlbit Nation and Happy Tuesday! My day started at 4:00am for some odd reason and I tried for an hour to go back to sleep but eventually I just fired up the 3DS XL and waited for the alarm to go off. I’m not complaining I had a four day vacation where I got to do nothing but catch up on games, some shows on Netflix, and visited the local mom & pop music store. During this time I did take down two games from Mount Backlog.

Asphalt 2 – DS: On Sunday I finished off the last of the second to the last levels in the Evolution ladder, and saved the final level for Sunday night and Monday morning. The last level was country versus country and the competition was equal so this was actually a lot more fun than the other levels where if you upgraded your car, you could lap the competition.

 

Overall I enjoyed the game but there shouldn’t have been so many of the same races being repeated. Each level was made up of 5 or 6 car classes and within those classes was 5 or 6 races. Combine that with a handful of races and you would race the same San Francisco or Dubai track at least 4 times per level. This made it almost a chore to get through the upper levels and one of the reasons why I stopped playing for a couple of months. I liked the game but I’m glad I can cross off the backlog.

 

Mii Force – 3DS

 

So it turns out I needed to finish two missions before completing the game so I tackled one of the missions while eating lunch at the mall (I was collecting Mii’s) and the other I finished while eating lunch yesterday. The section I was having trouble with became a breeze after not touching the game and yesterday I hired the mercenary squad and after two tries I took down the bad guy. This is a fun Mii game and I wish there was a sequel to this.

 

Games I’m Playing

 

Saints Row IV – PS4: I started this game yesterday because it went on sale at Best Buy for the same price I paid for Gat Out Of Hell for the 360. I already played through this game on the 360 but I enjoyed it and I wanted a physical copy. I think I am around 20% through the game but I’m spending most of my time playing through the side missions first.

MLB The Show 15 – PS4: Video Game Chris is still flirting with the Cycle but my last time I had a good chance at it, I was intentionally walked. I’m still waiting to be promoted to AAA Las Vegas.

Madden 25 – PS4: Last week I finished off season 2 of the Cleveland Browns franchise. I won the Super Bowl, and I think I had a solid draft including the QB I wanted just in case my current QB, who’s made of glass gets injured again. I played through maybe 4 games this season and I haven’t touched the game in a couple of days.

During the second season I found two interesting things the defense did during my two minute drill

 

At Cincinnati the right side of the defense did not line up. Instead of running the usual play I just had the quarterback run towards the empty field

A couple of games later it happened again

 

And I did the same thing: run the ball towards the empty part of the screen. I don’t know if this is a glitch or a flaw with the play calling, but I thought it was interesting to encounter it twice in one season.

Finally I’m glad the NFL decided to go with a number for Super Bowl 50 instead of roman numerals

 

SB L just doesn’t look good.

Batman Arkham Origins Blackgate – Vita: After being stuck on a section I went back and I got passed that section…and proceeded to get stuck in a whole new section. Baby steps to finishing this game.

Injustice – iPad: I installed the game again and it turns out it was double XP weekend

 

And finished off the tournament for the week, unlocking Killer Frost

 

 

WWE Immortals – iPad: I also finished the tournament for Cyborg Brock Lesnar

 

 

Spider-man Unlimited – iPad: I finally leveled up my top four Spider-man characters enough to take on the boss of issue 4 in the story mode

 

I’m back to leveling up my characters so I can take on the new issue 5. While playing I unlocked this character, which I thought looked interesting

 

 

Randoms:

On Sunday I ran into these gaming items: At the .99 Cent store there was a ton of these at the DVD section

 

I’m a little bitter because I spent $2 each on those games from Burger King.

At the local Goodwill which used to be a goldmine until the manager decided eBay was a good place to base their prices on I spotted this beauty next to two complete Guitar Hero and GH II guitars, games with box for $20 each

 

I figured oh it will probably be the same price, and then I saw the sticker

 

You’re insane Goodwill, but I know someone will spend that much which is absurd especially when Big Lots had a bunch of them going for $20 new.

I saw this speech bubble while eating lunch and I want it. I have the a couple of other ones, but I really did this bubble.
