Read this today and it made me angry

http://www.gamefocus.ca/special-articles/pass-it-or-play-it-the-unfinished-swan-ps3-ps4-ps-vita-42611.php?google_editors_picks=true

This guy obviously played the first level and thought he could write a review (and I use the term loosely) based on that.

If like me you've played and enjoyed this game, get on over there and give him your two cents.

That is such a terrible review about such a good game. Personally I enjoyed playing Unfinished Swan, heck I voted it as my game of the year last year and I downloaded it again to play on the Vita.

I loved what I played which I believe was about 3/4 of the game. I got past the rolling the luminous ball through the woods and the river bit but lost my save. It's a game I want to finish but at least I played a fair chunk of it unlike that Bozo.

I think I am at the same point in the game, and most likely I stopped playing for a bit is because I'm stuck. Hopefully when I get to that point on the Vita, I can figure out a way through it, and finish the game.

I love getting to a point in the game where you're saying to yourself "How the hell do I do this?" then the light comes on and it's "oh, ok, now I get it."

That is one of the fun parts about a game. I like to not touch the game for a bit just so I can hopefully get one of those moments.

damn you really gave him a piece of your mind.  I would expect a snarky, self righteous reply soon.

I just lost it when I realized he hadn't actually played more than the first level and didn't even try to fake it by looking up other reviews and screenshots.

There is some shit up with which I will not put. :)

So yeah...based on the information in your comment, that guy couldn't have played past the 1st level.  The only time something like that is acceptable is if the level is so difficult or the game mechanics are so broken that progression is nearly impossible. But based on his comments in the review though, it just looks like he lost interest and decided to write a 3-paragraph review of a much grander game.

Either that or worse yet...he could have been playing a preview copy.

I understand that a game can be reviewed without actually finishing it because it is possible to experience all a game has to offer without making it all the way to the end. This game is 4 major acts broken into 17 total sections. He played 1 of the 17 sections by the sound of his review.
