You can also download free demos if you want to get a sample for the games Nintendo has to offer. The Bayonetta 2 demo is really good and really makes the system shine honestly. Wind Waker HD is simply gorgeous and glorious, not to mention Smash Bros and Mario Kart. I've got a few virtual console games as well, but the game I've put most hours into has been Monster Hunter 3. I pretty much bought the system to play that game. Playing off TV isn't a novelty, and actually I love that I can do this with certain PS3 games on my VITA too. ZombiU is also a very unique game to the system and I believe there may be a demo still, and it was also one of my fav games on the system.
It also plays Wii games, so I was able to play Xenoblade Chronicles and a few other great Wii games that I missed on Wii.
Finally took the Next Gen Jump.

Well, sort of depending who you ask. I got a Wii U today. It is the only current machine that has games that have caught my interest at this time. My backlog on the old consoles is sooooo insane that I can't justify jumping into anything new, yet Nintendo kept giving me the itch I just had to scratch. What a satisfying scratch it is.
I played the first level of Mario 3D world and it seemed cool. By the time I finished world 1 I was estatic. This might be the most fun a game has been for me in awhile. Nintendo just knows how to make cool levels to impress me after all these years.
I played a few Nintendoland games. I'm sure these will get old fairly quickly, but for now there seems to be a lot to poke around in and I am having fun. The silly octopus rythm game seemed pretty simple and so so, then I found myself cracking up as I could see the pictures of me dancing on the screen in the background as I tried to focus on what I was doing. I literally laughed out loud at myself to the point I messed up. What can I say, the game is simple, (maybe I am too) but I'm having a blast.
I know the game pickings are slim on Nintendo consoles, but balancing it with my old backlog there is plenty to keep me busy in the future and if it is all this quality, I will be very satisfied.
On the other spectrum of gaming, I'm trying to finish Sleeping Dogs. This game was criminally overlooked. I can't believe I never heard of it until games with gold gave it to me.
