Characters I still want to see in Smash 3DS/ Wii U

More dlc characters

So, a while back on a Nintendo Direct, Nintendo announced that you can vote for your favorite character to be in SSB 3DS/WiiU with the Smash Ballot. Sakurai said that he wasn't opposed to dlc, but said that he didn't have any plans for it at the time. But with the ability to vote your favorite, the floodgates have opened for request on different characters from Isaac from Goldensun to some farfetched and silly requests like Goku and Shrek. Nintendo said that you could vote for anyone from any game. So if you wanted to, you could vote for Master Chief or Crash Bandicoot.

So, you can vote anyone. I actually haven't voted for anyone yet, because there are quite a few characters I want to see in Smash as a fighter. I don't know if you could vote more than once, because my brothers also want to vote for their picks too, so don't know if it's once per household or once per person. But anyway, most of the characters I wanted to be in Smash are already there, even some I didn't know I wanted, but here are characters I still want to see in Smash via Smash Ballot...

Batman

Batman: Yes I know he has no chance of being in Smash, but if people are voting for Spongebob, then there's no reason I can't vote for the Goddamn Batman. Maybe in the Style of Animated series or Brave and the Bold.

Snake

Snake: I know Konami is a sour subject for alot of people, but I'm not here to talk about that. But rather Snake. I remember when he was first announced for Brawl and I was like, why Snake? I wasn't opposed to the idea, but I was puzzled since the Metal Gear games are rated M. I liked Snake, he was a bit hard to use but I thought he was a neat character. Not sure if he'll get a new moveset this time, if he indeed does return. Or someone from Castlevania like Simon Belmont.

 Metroid Prime 3 Bounty Hunters

Any of the Hunters from Prime 3: Despite its problems, I love Metroid Prime 3. I liked the other Bounty Hunters from the game, and as I've said before, Samus was hesitant on terminating them, but she knew she had to for the mission at hand. The hunters themselves had some pretty cool abilities. But the one that stood out the most in my opinion was Gandrayda. During her fight, she could mimic or use the other hunter's attacks. She could even transform into the other hunters too. But transforming characters were thrown out the window for this Smash, so why not have her use the other hunter's attacks? I know people want Ridley, the only problem with that is that he's a stage boss, so not sure how that would work.

Krystal

Krystal: Rather than have Wolf return and having a similar character to Fox, why not have a different character from Star Fox with an entirely different moveset? Krystal could have her staff and her moves could be based on the upgrades and powers the staff had in Star Fox Adventures. The only problem I see here, and this is just a rumor, but I heard that Rare has the rights to Krystal's staff or something, which in a worst-case scenario, we'll get another Fox clone. But it's a rumor I heard. Speaking of Rare...

Banjo Kazooie

Banjo and Kazooie: This one is a long shot as there will be plenty of licensing hurdles to go through, but wouldn't it be cool for the bear and bird to be back to the place they once called home, even if it's for Smash? I know I would love to see them, and their moves in their games lend themselves for attacks in Smash. I've even seen ideas people have for moves and all I can do is smile and nod in agreement. It wouldn't be too farfetched to have them in Smash as they were planned to be in the original Smash. Heck, even Phil Spencer from Microsoft said he wouldn't a any problem if people wanted Banjo and Kazooie in Smash. Heck, if they do make it in the poll, it might bring interest in the franchise again, Nintendo fans will get them in Smash, and MS might even allow Rare to make a new entry. See, everybody wins. Although it kinda seems pointless with a recent spiritual successor...

Shantae

Shantae: A little known fact a bit me is that I'm a fan of Shantae. I actually remember trying the game once at school back then when it came out on the GBC. It was pretty fun and I've been debating on getting it on the eShop. People classify her games as indie games and classify Shantae herself as an indie character. I don't know about that, but if majority of people and Wayforward themselves classify the games and Shantae herself as indie, then who am I to go against popular opinion? I would definitely make her wish come true if I vote for her as the indie character for Smash.

Captain N

Captain N: This one will never happen but I can dream right? The premise of Captain N is that he travels through various game worlds and meets up with characters of said worlds and solve problems and stop bad guys based on those worlds. Smash is no different, minus the stopping the bad guys part, unless you count the Subspace Emissary from Brawl. Plus Mega Man and Pit are in Smash, it would be pretty neat to see Captain N along side those 2. Maybe if I vote for Shantae, maybe she can grant my wish to have Captain N in Smash...

So, those are my pics for characters I still want to see in Smash via the Smash Ballot. Did you place your vote already? If not, who will you vote for? Oh, and please excuse the wonky image sizes, this was all done via "New" 3DS. Thanks for reading and later.

Shantae is a good idea.  I also thought Captain Syrup would be cool in the game.  I bet in the next Smash game, the squids from Splatoon will show up (and not just Mii outfits).

I completely agree about Snake.  He was my go to character in Brawl.  I am not the biggest fan of slow character, but he was one that I could actually handle.

Batman would be sweet.

...I think Shantae has a chance.

Shantae would be my vote, despite not having played her games.
