Yeah since Konami kind of squelched Hudson, I doubt we'll see this ever again. It's sad because there are so many great Hudson properties out there. I know Namco published the Bloody Roar arcade game, so maybe they can work something out with Konami. But I wouldn't hold my breath.

So this is sort of a new series, I've been thinking a lot about games that I played when I was young. Some of these games however got left behind and haven't been brought back from the grave, at least not yet. So how about it? Join me in discussing some games that would benefit a comeback.
Bloody Roar
For those that don't know, Bloody Roar was a fighting series that released back in the 90s to the early 2000s. However it's last release was in 2003. It has been out of the limelight for well over 12 years now. It was sort of a mixture of Tekken and Street Fighter with the awesome ability to be able to morph into animals. I can not say enough how fun it was to be kicking someones ass and then morph into a bunny to deliver the final beatings of the round.
So what happened? Well Hudson Soft created it and well....KONAMI......*ahem* Hudson was merged with Konami and while games under the Hudson trademark can still be made we certainly shouldn't hold our damn breath that Konami will actually do something with the series, which is an utter disappointment. Also the last in the series Bloody Roar 4 didn't get great reviews from critics. They generally were mixed or average. However user reviews have been more on the good side with generally people liking it. It's like Capcom with Megaman, your sitting your big fat ass on something that can more then likely make a bunch of people happy and profit on your side of the spectrum. This is why I wish game developers had a set time to make a game for a series. You have 10 years to at least release 1 in this series and if ya don't the rights go to another developer/publisher. Anywho before I spiral off into something else completely it's a sad day when developer or publishers just sits on a series and right now Konami is doing just that with Bloody Roar.
My favorite is Bloody Roar Primal Fury on the gamecube. I don't know why but I enjoyed the hell out of it. I could play alone for hours or face off in 100 matches with friends and family. I actually have a fond memory of kicking one of my ex's ass 4 fucking times. He was soon damn pissed, I think that's why he left me. Remember ladies and gentlemen, if they can't handle you at your greatest win count, they don't deserve you.
So should Bloody Roar be brought back in the ring? Or did it get its final countdown with 4?
