Why would people care that you have the OPTION to play as a girl?

E3 has been good for me this year. I've seen a lot of great things announced. I just hope I can afford it down the road. My job situation isn't bad atm but job searching isn't going so hot. I do have hours which I pray are around for a few months. Anywho here's what I enjoyed most:
Bethesda
Dishonored 2 and Remaster Of First title- I wrote a review of Dishonored. I can't not remember for the life of me if I posted it on 1UP.com. I believe I only posted the hype blog. Anywho in short, I loved Dishonored. It was an amazing stealth title that gave you several avenues to proceed with the game, hell you could avoid stealthing and just run and kill if ya wanted. The game ran quite smooth and could either be real fast paced or slow going depending on your choices and play style. Dishonored 2 is a title I have been wanting. I have been wishing for a sequel since I played 1. The best thing, you can play has Emily or Corvo! I'm hyped Corvo made it back with the added bonus of Emily!
Fallout 4- I'm actually now quiet excited since I know more. The announcement trailer made me nervous. I've utterly have loved the fact that females have been included in the CAC process in F3 and New Vegas. I could create my self or a persona of my liking in the gender of my choice, which is typically female. I rarely make guys in stuff like this. It goes to the fact, I'm a girl. I wanna create a girl. Anywho when the announcement trailer ran, it erupted like wild fire that the protagonist could only be male because of from reasons like they were going with a premade character*which wouldn't bother me in that sense* or only male characters because females are lame. I'm not kidding, the Internet makes my head hurt. Anywho Fallout intranced me and we have the pip boy edition preordered. Seriously, I stayed up till midnight to get that sucker on Amazon.
Fallout Shelter- I want it but only have android.....damn you Bethesda!
Doom- Im not super excited but I am looking forward to the beta. Remember if you preordered Wolfenstein: The New Order before it released you got a beta invite to Doom. However it's only for PC, Xbone, PS4 so if you preordered on last Gen it's for the Current Gen of that console.
