If the game is good, hopefully, it won't matter if it has NFL teams or not. The first Joe Montana game on the Genesis didn't have a NFL rights. NFL stamp would help it though.

Happy Wednesday Pixlbit! I saw this pop up on my Twitter feed and I thought I’d share it with you.
I’m excited to see this game come to iOS because it not only looks really good, it also sounds like it is a legit football game especially compared to what EA has previously released. If you played a Sega Genesis in its heyday, you remember (in a robotic voice) Joe Montana Sports Talk Football. Well it looks like the franchise is back and I signed up for information on it, and when it is released I will most likely buy it (assuming it will be within the usual $5-10 mobile game range.)
I do have a couple of concerns about the game:
- Not having an NFL License might hurt the game. Previous games that didn’t have the license didn’t do as well because the casual fan will want to play with teams they know/follow.
- Controls. Since this is a mobile game is it going to be a virtual controller on screen or some other option? As much as I love gaming on an iPad, controls for console ports like NBA Jam, and NBA 2K14 have been hit and miss.
Anyways I thought I’d share this with you good people.
That’s all for now, more later!
-Chris
