A bitter sweet Sunday morning

I woke up this morning to the news that Yes bassist Chris Squire has passed away after a battle with Leukemia. I will now have his riff from Roundabout going through my head in his honour,

On the other side of that coin my family members are home safely from Tunisia so I am thankful for that even as I am angry that our governments continue to pay but lip service to eradicating ISIS scum that are destroying our world. "Yeah we may have killed one or two of them today so everybody be grateful" Yeah for every one or two we might have killed they are killing hundreds.

Anyway back to gaming. I think I mentioned that I picked up Tales of Hearts R for $14 in the Flash Sale but I also picked up Suikoden III on Tuesday for 10 bucks.

After Blake posted that Leprous video I downloaded Spotify and managed to listen to their whole latest album for free. I only had to tolerate 2 or 3 annoying 30 second ads for middle of the road hip-hop and teen fucking dance party shit from Ariana Grande. Hey at least I could yank the headphones off so I'm not too scarred by drivel music.

That's it for me. Here's Chris

Very sad ?? my all time favorite band and no one can play The Fish like Squire... And don't get me started on ISIS we need a full scale assault on these scumbags especially after seeing them drown prisoners and film it on YouTube really!!!!!

So to confirm, they are still ISIS? Not ISIL or just IS or whatever the hell?

And Yes, I too like Yes! R.I.P.

Let's just call them scum for short.

In that case, we need to get James Bond Jr. and possibly some Ring of Honor wrestlers on the case.

I knew I've heard that song before. In Jojo's Bizarre Adventure, which after looking it over it was one of the ending songs. Cool song.

I saw a recent concert video with Squire playing his solo from Fragile, and I was surprised at his showmanship. He really hammed it up. I didn't know he was as extroverted as all that, but, I guess, now I think about his playing, it's obvious in his bass lines.

Also Jon Anderson mentioned once in an interview concerning the YesShows live album that Chris's playing was "immaculate". I always remember that and try and take care to listen to his parts in Yes songs.

Chris Squire was amazing. Saw a live performance of Yes on Austin City Limits years ago, absolutley blew me away. I have been listening to Pandora on my a phone at work lately. It s musch better than I remember, less ads and repeats, discovered a lot of good music lately.

Ahh man, I was out for a week and didn't know about Squire's death. I loved his bass playing and may he rest in peace.

Your experience with Spotify ad breaks kinda mirror mine with Hulu ads. Ow the price to pay for the free anime (and by extension, the only free things over that site).
