I did not know this but the original prototype for the game was on N64. Looks pretty good for that era too. I'll definitely be adding the HD remake to my collection when it comes out.

They definitely look better as they progress through prototype, original, and remake, but the silent standing and turning to shoot is unintentionally funny to me. It's just one of those things that makes you a little too aware it's a video game. lol

But yeah, the prototype has really bright colors for an N64 title and looks pretty damn good. Ironic, considering the dark subject matter of zombies.

Yeah, I remember the first previews of it in EGM. Eternal Darkness also began as an N64 game. And Kameo, if memory serves.

Even Kameo? Wow that was a long development cycle. Didn't know about Eternal Darkness either. I guess it was before I started reading EGM.

I remember drooling over PSX screenshots of Too Human. :P

lol. how did I know you were going to reply with that? Of course you could have mentioned Duke Nukem Forenever but would that be even worse?

I remember being so bummed when they killed this N64 title. They were even going to try to remove the annoying door loading screens with this title given it was suppose to be on a cart.

Still we got the game on GC so it all turned out well in the end.

I'l buy this game pre-order just like I did with the original now sitting lovingly on my PS3's hard drive!

I did knew about that (and also N64 Eternal Darkness) thanks to a Nintendo magazine I used to read. Really, there were many games that started development for the Nintendo 64, but either due to lack of fund or limited hardware, they moved to the next gen consoles. One can only guess what would have happened if they were released that way.
