Hello again pixlbit, wow! 3 blogs in a week kinda rare for me,
So basicly I sold a bunch of trading cards on steam and nabbed enough to buy Lunch Truck Tycoon and Dark Quest I'm not sure what the deal with the cards you earn in games so I went and sold them no rares just commons if any of you know anything about the cards please explain it to me, anyway I just wanted to show my two buys for the day talk to y'all soon.
I can't tell you about cards ... didn't know you could sell those. I think I have some. Hmm ...
Lunch Truck Tycoon sounds like a fun real life job. I'd love to run a food truck in Austin. It looked like fun when we ordered from them when I was in town.
Cards on steam are like the Trophies for the PS3/PS4 in that they can be used to raise your Steam level/rank, but on steam you can do a bit more with such "rewards". You can trade, sell for petty cents, or when you get a full set you can create a badge that will increase your Steam level/rank and give you some rewards like emoticons and such. You can get cards by earning achievements. Not all games support such feature.
The prices depend on how many a game has and also how much the game gets played and gets badges made. For example, a common game like CS:GO has cheap cards due to its absurd number of players, meaning that there are many also creating badgea for the game. Much of the cards that are near a dollar are from games that don't have a lot of players. Either that, or they are foils, which are usually a bit costier than regular cards.
That's mostly right, but the way you earn your first free cards for a game is to simply play it for a required amount of time depending on the game. The rest acts as basically trading cards like real-life, only using the forums and such places or buy them on the Community Market. There's also the booster packs for cards, but are very random to adquire.
