I get jealous of some of the PS3/Vita stuff I don't get as a PS+ user on PS4. I would definitely swap Mousecraft and Styx for Rain. Entwined isn't "about" anything, but its presentation is awesome. And Rocket League is the best PS+ game I've received since becoming a member in February.

Games Beaten
-Bayonetta 2 (Wii U)
There are a lot of good things going for Bayonetta 2—it has nice graphics (the enemy designs are often quite bizarre), good music, and a tongue-in-cheek story full of outrageous characters—but it's the tight mechanics that really make this game great. Aside from the occasional camera problem, I always felt that failure or sloppiness was my fault. Getting into the zone and making it through a fight without getting hit was a rare but delightful rush. There's a fair amount of bonus content too.
Games Bought
July saw a couple of purchases. We bought Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker (Wii U), which I've wanted to get since it came out and hope to start it soon, and LEGO Batman 3: Beyond Gotham (PS4). My wife and I really enjoyed LEGO Batman 2 and this one is no doubt more of the same. Beyond that my mother-in-law found one of my wife's old Game Boy games—Donkey Kong Land III—at her house. There are still more games floating around there somewhere (including some SNES games) but it's not the tidiest place. Hopefully they'll turn up eventually. I also picked up Gradius Collection (PSP) during one of Sony's flash sales. It contains Gradius I-IV and Gradius Gaiden, which I think is the only time that game has been released in English. I haven't had a chance to fire it up yet but those games are going to look great on my Vita
As for PlayStation Plus there are some interesting picks this month, most notably Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions Evolved for the Vita. I wish they'd given us the PS4 version as well because those particle effects deserve a big screen, but I certainly won't complain about getting it at all. Rocket League (PS4) is supposedly soccer with monster trucks, and how could that not be good? Styx: Master of Shadows (PS4) sounds like it wants to be Thief. DRIVECLUB PlayStation Plus Edition (PS4) finally came out and is probably good...if you're into that sort of thing. MouseCraft and Entwined are both available on all three of Sony's platforms but I haven't the foggiest idea of what they're about. Finally, rain (PS3) is a visually very cool platformerish game that I've nearly bought a couple of times through the years and now I have it after all.
Now Playing
-Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney—Duel Destinies (3DS)
I'm nearing the end of the fifth case (I think there's one more) and so far I've really enjoyed the stories. I wouldn't say it's as good as the original trilogy but still very good. The localization is wonderful and I really love the music.
Athena's spunky theme
-Destiny (PS4)
Still playing this regularly. I need to beat the second raid (Crota) on hard before the next expansion comes out in September. In July we beat the level 35 Prison of Elders (a three-man wave/objective-based survival mode they added in the second expansion) and let me tell you, finishing the final boss of that thing was one of the hardest things I've ever done in a game...but oh so satisfying! Looking forward to the Taken King!
-Geometry Wars 3: Dinmensions Evolved (Vita) (PS+)
I've been playing the adventure mode and first of all it's cool that they have this sort of thing. Having bosses in a game like this is a neat idea that works pretty well (I've fought two so far). I'm not the biggest fan of the 3D arenas, though they flat ones too as well as the original modes. Good fun so far!
