Ugh I feel like my blog is becoming a fucking gaming news blog or something with the past this and my last blog, but I think this is another thing that needs to go out to as many people as possible. So anyways Tecmo Koei released Totori Plus today on PSN (for Vita) before the game was even announced for North American release.

Even as a fan of the series I had no idea, It just popped up on the store for seemingly no apparent reason. So anyone interested in it should go ahead and buy it. For those unfamiliar with the series they (the Arland games anyways Ayesha is different I'll probably review that soon) focus on item crafting and building relationships more than the battle system. Totori's combat is pretty basic in terms of pretty much everything. They definetly aren't for everyone but those looking for a more upbeat colorful RPG might like them.

Honestly though I didn't like Totori that much but it still had a lot of things I liked about it just kind of slows down when you get further in if you aren't paying attention anyways. I got bored with but I've been thinking of giving it a second chance and seeing as how Tecmo Koei basically put the port out there to die I'll be picking it up tommorow. No game deserves to be put out like this. It's a terrible decision on Tecmo Koei's part and sincerely hope they do better with Meruru Plus.

damn, that's lame.  Do these have turn based comnbat?  I might have to get into this series.

Yeah its fairly traditional turn-based combat. It relies heavily on item management too.

I enjoy the Atelier series (Ayesha is on my to-buy list), but damn, I wish Tecmo Koei had allowed NISA to retain the publishing rights to the series. I don't care about the dual audio, since I never use it when it is an option anyway, but NISA at least promoted the hell out of these games instead of leaving them withering on the vine.

I really really liked Ayesha, just beat it today. My favorite game in the series.

I was fucking shocked to see this on the shop today, No media outlet knew anything about it. Not really sure what Tecmo was thinking with this one. Why anyone would just throw a game out there like this is beyond me.

Just look at how Tecmo Koei handled Ayesha's US release. If it hadn't been for NISA and Tecmo Koei Europe, I'd have never known it was coming to the US.

I honestly don't think Tecmo Koei advertises anything tbh. They seem worse than Sony and Konami combined at this point.

Once I get some money at the end of the month, I'm going to be getting this. I want that DLC for free (especially the Devil Bikini and Angel Swimsuit!!!), and I feel like this will be a nice intro to the Atelier series for me. I've wanted to get into them, but there's just never been money to get into the series, and now for me, it's very hard to get in console RPG playing being at college most of the day. I'm definitely playing Neptunia V all this weekend though!

Yeah i think its a good starting point. Totori isn't as dated as Rorona, and isn't the end of the trilogy like Meruru is. Plus got a bunch of upgrades too. It looks a lot better than its home console counterpart, and has a ton of extras as well.

Sounds like a good game.  Thanks for the heads up. Cool

Welp, one more reason to get a PSO account. This looks like fun, and I'd hate for it to die like this.
