How many Driver games are there? I remember playing 1 and 2 a lot on my older brother's PlayStation, but after that I only remember 3.
Another Game Off Mount Backlog, Pokemon At The Outlets, And Monorail!

I’m bummed that the weekend has ended already. I would have gotten more stuff done (probably not) and maybe tackled other games on Mount Backlog but alas the weekend is over. Good morning Pixlbit. I’m currently sitting in day three of a Heat Advisory where on Saturday it hit a warm 118 here in Hot as Heck Southern California. I “escaped” the crazy heat by visiting the outlet stores a half hour away from here where it was a cool 106 but there was a breeze. I spent the maybe 30 minutes sitting outside and it was kind of nice
That’s my foot!
I spent this half hour listening to podcasts and playing some Pokemon Omega Ruby. My workhorse bird animal I named Dylan because he spits hot fiya (YouTube Chapelle Show Dylan) turned into some bird animal wearing bell-bottoms. I earned another badge and took on some random bad guy. When I wasn’t doing manly stuff like this I watched folks stand in line at the Gucci store
Yeah there is no way I’m standing in line unless I’m going to buy something. From what I heard there was a 50% off wall which is why there was a line.
The one drawback was that there was nobody with a 3DS so no new Mii’s. I really want to catch more fish on Ultimate Angler too.
Sunday was the gaming day for me where I took down another game from Mount Backlog. This game was sitting on my 360’s hard drive for about a year or so and I would play it a bit, lost interest, started it up a year later, and finally finished it yesterday.
Yup I finished this version of Driver yesterday and I wasn’t as impressed with this game as I was with my favorite Parallel Lines. The driving was fun in this game but I found some of the vehicles to handle like they were on ice, and the whole jumping out of bodies was getting old. At times the game began to feel like it was more about the cut scenes, and the recaps than actual gameplay. If there was more substance to the actual story mode in terms of missions with the main characters instead of the filler side missions I think I would have a lot more enjoyment. I’m not going to tackle any of the side quests like stunts, timed races and other items that fill the city up with activities.
Overall I give this game a solid C. There isn’t too much in the wow factor category, the city of San Francisco is huge in the game, but the missions and story mode are bland, plus there are a lot of cut scenes.
NBA 2K15 – PS4: I think I tackled one or two games. At this point I’m ready to deal my SG OJ Mayo, and SF Giannis Antetokounmpo away once both come back from injury. Jabari Parker is the breakout star on my team and plays SF, the backup SG Andre Roberson is doing a solid job and since I have four 1st Round picks I will use those draftees as backups. Maybe starter for SG since it looks like the draft for this season is full of guards.
MLB 15 The Show – PS4: I’ve hit that point in the game where pitchers are afraid to pitch to me so everything I see is on the outside of the strike zone. Since I don’t have the crazy power stats yet, those shots are going for singles, with the occasional double. In one game I went 4-for-5 and another 1-for-4 with a double. I still think I will be promoted to Triple A after the All Star Break.
Sonic and All-Stars Racing – Vita: After finishing off Driver SF, I wanted to take another game off Mount Backlog so I tackled this game. At the time I stopped playing it I got burned out but now I’m enjoying the game again, collecting more stars so I can unlock various characters and finish off the Career, and Race Modes. I need to unlock more stars in Career Mode to progress so I’ve been tackling all the older races on Medium to earn the extra stars and I’ll probably have to do the same on hard to complete it. Its not that difficult but you have to run a clean first couple of laps to get in position to win the race comfortably.
Pokemon Omega Ruby – 3DS: I am sitting on four badges and I think I am stuck. I don’t know how to get to the next section. I might need to get a water Pokemon to cross this water (that’s what the game is telling me) so I might have to walk around the beach. Most of my characters are at Level 30 (Snoop is 29) and I am farther in this game than I was in either X or Y. At some point I will probably buy the Sapphire Blue just to have.
This was another .99 cent iPad game. I’ve wanted it on the Vita but since it was .99 cents on the iPad I went with that version. If I liked it, I’ll get the Vita version but so far it looks like I’m going to stick with the iPad version unless the Vita version drops to under $10.
So far all I’ve done is harvest the corn(?), placed it on a trailer, and drove it down the street to a silo. Maybe its grain now that I think about it. Its just a job simulator which I always found this genre funny because you’re relaxing…by playing a job.
iPad Fighting Games – iPad:
In Mortal Kombat I completed the Meleena Challenge and unlocked her character.
In Marvel Future Fight, I unlocked another character I won in a blind box that was in the daily gifts
The funny thing is that I always forget to check the Shop section for the freebie blind box. I could have had more stuff if only I remembered. There’s really no need to spend real money on this game if you’re patient.
Simpsons Tapped Out – iPad:
monorail, Monorail, MONORAIL! I am excited for this update because the Monorail is coming to Springfield. The game mechanics is set up like the Springfield Heights where you send Simpsons Characters to work at a Recycling Plant & Garbage Dump to earn metal for blueprints. Collect enough blueprints and you unlock monorail parts.
I’m two prizes away from unlocking Ray Patterson
Here are my two Monorail stations
The Premium Krustyburger Station with add-ons
And the regular Monorail Station with add-ons.
The new characters added to Springfield
And I hit a milestone in visiting other Sprinfield’s so I unlocked this truck
I forgot to mention a couple of weeks ago I was looking through the 360 store where you can add clothing to your avatar and I saw that Undefeated had items. Since my character is already wearing the X-Box version of Jordan IV’s why not go all out with the sneakerhead look
I have to admit I do own a couple of Undefeated shirts, and I have no idea where they are.
Alright Pixlbit I am off to get this day going and eat some breakfast that isn’t an Otter Pop. Have a good week!
That’s all for now, more later!
