Good morning Pixlbit! For the past week through social media I noticed that this past week has been full of really cool stuff that I used to take part in. Its band camp for the Marching Aztecs and today is move-in day for the all the folks living in the residence halls of SDSU. Many moons ago I too took part in these events. I didn’t have to do most of residence hall training because I was in the band which is always fun, and my residents usually got an Ambassador (the folks who give campus tours) to walk them around the campus to find classes. I didn’t have to do this until my last year on the mesa when I was just a regular resident and my neighbors were a little nervous about where their classes were so I helped them find their classes. Anyways-Happy Move-In Day SDSU!

Funny thing about this is that years after I last stepped foot in a Residence Hall I had to go buy a backpack. There are so many different ones, and I hit maybe four different stores before finding one I actually liked that was a reasonable price. (Props to you parents who have to buy these things for kids.) So the reason why I am in this position is because the backpack I bought last year for my trip to Hawaii couldn’t handle the weight of a bag of chips, hoodie, iPad, and Macbook

 

That’s what I get for spending $20. Anyways this time I needed a bag big enough for my camera bag, and a slot for my iPad and mini PC. A half-hour later in the final store I finally found one that I liked. Hopefully it can take the weight.

I’m still on my Archer kick. I think I binged watched Season 1 again and maybe part of Season 2. There should be a shuffle feature on Netflix.

 

WWE Tough Enough

 

I hope that Daniel Bryan uses his save on the big dude this week so ZZ can go home. I’m happy that the Miz called him out on his laziness and just relying on charisma. The best part about TE, is the after show on the WWE Network where everyone can actually give their thoughts about what is going on. All the judges are in agreement that ZZ shouldn’t be there but the WWE Universe still keeps him. I also wonder if that the WWE is cooking the numbers so he stays because it seems nobody likes him and it causes drama.

On the women’s side Amanda basically called Sara Lee a ring rat (groupie) and the WWE is trying to hide that. We shall see how the final matches go when the guys will face Cesaro, and the women take on Alicia Fox

Big Brother: Last week I jumped back on the Team Meg bandwagon because she makes me laugh because she’s terrible at competitions. Next week should be interesting because one member of the jury house will come back, along with the return of Zingbot. I don’t care about Zingbot, but I want to see how the house dynamic changes if someone like Shelli or Becky make a return to the house.

Preseason Football: Yep I still can’t watch it. I’ll take in a series here and there but nothing close to actually watching a full game.

 

Also he is the best QB in the league. By league I’m thinking maybe bowling. Thanks for the laugh. If I had to rate the QB's in the NFC East it would be Eli (Giants), Romo (Cowboys), Bradford (Eagles), Sanchez (Eagles), Barkley (Eagles), Tebow (Eagles), Weeden (Cowboys), Rowdy the Cowboys Mascot, RGIII.

Chris Listens To…

I changed what I was listening to on my iPod this week. Instead of the usual podcasts, random songs, and new stuff playlist, I went with my Under 10 Star Playlist. In this playlist I have all my favorite 5 star songs that have less than 10 plays. Once they go over 10 they go in the Over 10 playlist and hopefully make my Top 200. There have been a couple of “Oh I forgot about this song” moments.

Krater 96 is my new must listen from 8am until around 10:45 when they finish Hammer Time. They make me laugh a lot especially on Tuesdays when folks call in asking for impressions. The one that got me in tears was a Filipino version of Ving Rhimes as the Arby’s commercial voice.

I saw some folks on a message board talking about an episode of Chris Jericho’s Talk is Jericho Podcast where he had a discussion with a conspiracy theorist. It bordered on tin foil hat status, but it was interesting to listen to. If you want to check it out here’s the link, and it’s the episode with Greg Carlwood.

First picture I took was actually for the Snupps app. I added my collection of Air More Uptempo’s (Scottie Pippen’s) and one of the pairs I have is the 2012 Olympic Retros

 

The next couple of shots happened a couple of days ago when I came back from a random trip to Target and the light was this nice gold color so I snapped some pictures

 

Nothing fancy, I just liked the light during this time, and how it made the leaves look. Thanks for checking out my pictures!

 

Randoms

While roaming around the outlets last weekend, I got a message on Facebook and this really bugs me

 

Why in the world does one app want me to download another app just to read a message? The current Facebook App could do it. This is why I refuse to use the message feature on Facebook. The stupid thing just takes up space and everyone I want to communicate with already just text.

While checking the PSN Store I saw this

 

You have to be freaking kidding me EA. $100 for Madden and a bunch of packs for the ultimate team. C’mon now. I write this knowing full well that I spent $100 on Batman Arkham Knight, and the DLC.

Pickups

Lego

So while at the Target buying an electric shaver for my grandfather I hit the Lego aisle and saw some new Lego sets and I picked up

 

The main reason why I bought it is because it comes with Deathstroke so now I can create Season 2 of Arrow.

 

Batman’s cowl has smaller ear bumps and is missing the little bar at the bottom under the mouth. I forgot to take a picture but the head design has also changed because now the head is all black except for the front with the face and “headband” (the white band for his eyes when the cowl is on.)

 

Sneakers

Ok so last week I was at the outlets and I might have maybe spent a little too much. There was so much on sale it was nuts. You remember the picture I posted of the line in front of Gucci. Anyways I stuck to my usual handful of stores

Apparently the Nike Outlets now sells overstock of regular stores at retail because I finally found the Roshe LD-1000

 

They are designed by Hiroshi Fujiwara and they look similar to the Nike Cortez sneakers (only reason why I bought them.)

 

I picked up another pair of J’s. Looking back I probably could have skipped these especially since I found crazy deals at Adidas and Reebok but I jumped on them.

The final pair of sneakers I bought were from the Reebok Store and it was an additional 40% off of everything. I picked up a pair of sneakers I wanted since high school for $30

 

Not the original colorway but I’m just happy to have a pair of Shaqnosis. I just need to find a cheap pair of Iverson Answer IV’s and I will have every pair of Reebok that I wanted.

 

Alright Pixlpeeps I am off to go either make or buy some breakfast. Since my weekend has officially started I might hit up the local mom and pop for some new music. Have a good weekend!

So for this week's song I will go with a track from my favorite live album Dance Hall Crashers: The Live Record. This album was my go to CD when I used to drive to Disneyland in summer to go to work. One of the few albums I could listen to the entire album in one sitting. It is such a fun album, with some banter with the audience. DHC is such a fun band.
