Every once in a while I have a strong desire to sit down and try to write or blog. I just wish that they came around more often. It is rather depressing seeing that the last blog that I posted here was almost six weeks ago, back when I was finishing up Wild Arms.
What have I done over the past six weeks? Quite a bit in the realm of videogames. I got the platinum trophy in Lego Batman 3 on the Vita as well as Resistance: Burning Skies. Lego Batman 3 was a far better game.
The Swindle has gotten its hooks into me, and I am having difficulty shaking 'em. The easiest way I can describe The Swindle is that it is Rogue Legacy with more Rogue-like elements than Rogue Legacy. Let's see if I can do a better job of selling you on the game. As a thief, you have a 100 day window to steal a device that will destroy your way of life. You progress through randomly generated levels stealing as much as you can, using your ill-gotten gains to buy powerups. If you fail to steal the device in the 100 day limit, the game resets and you start over from scratch. I am having a blast, and want everybody to know how much I love it.
I took a break from The Swindle and played through the campaign for Arkham Knight. Yeah, best Batman story I have experienced in while. This was made even better because I was playing the game with the 1989 Batman skin. I played straight through the campaign and have since set the game aside.
For now, I am working through Dishonored Definitive Edition on the PS4 and will continue for the foreseeable future to conquer The Swindle.
In case I rambled on Too Long,,, PLAY THE SWINDLE.
