Pixlpeeps what is up! Happy Monday to you good people. Over the weekend I finally fired up my PS4. I think the last time I did that was a couple of weeks ago. I’ve been in a PS3 mood with college football in full swing and I started a new Dynasty Mode with a created team, The Long Beach State 49ers.

The home uniforms are usually black helmet/black jersey/white pants, while the road uniform is white helmet/white jersey/white pants. At times I will go with black helmet and black pants on the road, and black pants at home. In the first season the 49ers went 11-2 as an independent and winning the Little Caesar’s Bowl in Detroit. In the second season I moved the 49ers to the Mountain West Conference after moving Boise St. and San Diego State along with BYU to the American Athletic Conference (I can’t play against my school).
As for the PS4 I fired it up so I could play Lego Dimensions. Yep I caved in and on Sunday Morning I bought the game. The funny thing is that you can either use the game’s digital instructions to build the base, or use the regular packaged instructions. After spending a half hour downloading the update (I decided to use the book instructions during this time) I played a bit of the game. It turns out to be a bigger version of your typical Lego games and I finished the first level. After that I tried the Portal and Simpsons Level Packs. I really did play a lot of them because I was heading out but from what I saw I’ll enjoy these level packs.
There is more involvement with figures on the base than there is with Disney Infinity. To perform the master builder items you move your figure on one side of the base to the other. To build vehicles you have to be in their given level, find the parts and then assemble it with on screen instructions. After that you save the item onto the base. The little set on top doesn't make a difference but its nice to have an idea of what the vehicle I'm using looks like. I had some problems with the Portal gun attaching to the minifigure. I thought it would be a plastic piece but it turns out to be rubber. As for the game certain points within the game needs special characters which means you have to buy more packs to unlock those sections. I'm not complaing because I knew this coming in.
If you are a fan of the Lego franchise and like either Infinity or Skylanders, this game is for you. Just be prepared that since its Lego, the packs are a bit pricey but the figures and sets can be removed from their bases and be used with regular Lego Sets. Oh and the Portal set is really funny especially since you're playing a Lego version of a video game, within a video game.
For tablet gaming I played a little bit on the iPad but most of my attention was on the Asus Memo Pad. I got my Memo Pad 8 on Thursday and I spent most of Thursday night and Friday tinkering with the tablet. I thought about rooting it but decided against it because I don’t want to deal with all the hassles that come along with it. I might do it in the future. Anyways here is my current setup

Here is my one screen that I am using. I didn’t install any social media apps because this tablet is just for games, books, maybe a couple of videos, and comics. I have to keep the Google Search bar on the screen or else I have this message about tap to add widgets change wallpapers, etc. I’m not liking the Asus skin on Android but what can you do (I guess the rooting community would chime in with root)

The folder with Google, and Asus apps. Ok so I might have installed Taptalk just to check up on various sports message boards.

This is my games folder, and some of the games I have currently installed. Nothing fancy here. I’ll add more games later on, but for now I’ll just play with these games.

I started with Fieldrunners HD which is a Tower Defense game and a genre that really isn’t my favorite, but I actually liked this game. I don’t know if its like every Tower Defense game but I played a couple of games and I had fun

Apparently I should read the instructions because I had no idea I could upgrade the towers

This was my setup during an early part of a game. I might play more of this during lunch.
Another Humble Bundle Game I played is Galcon Legends. I don’t know how to describe this game. You start off with one planet with a number of fighters, and you send your fighters to a planet with a lesser number of fighters. You assimilate them and they become part of your army and you go after another planet. Rinse. Repeat.

These little triangles move to the planet and you take them over. The enemy is trying to do the same so basically whoever gets all the planets on the screen first wins.

After finishing off a galaxy, you fly into a wormhole and play in a different galaxy with funky story screens

I'm currently playing through the game on the default difficulty. After each stage the game asks you if you want to play it on a harder mode. I'll probably give it a try once I finish the first playthrough.
The last couple of games I am playing on my Asus Memo Pad are poker games. One game is being played with other players so the betting is off because the folks with the bigger chip stacks try and bully the pot. Another game I’ve been playing is a single player game where your little character can play in poker tournaments in the Wild West

I won my first tournament! I then followed that win by losing the next one.

I registered for this game. Hopefully its good.
Oh and I found the screenshot of what the screen looks like if you don’t have anything on the screen

I don’t get why you can’t have a blank screen. iPad finally allowed it and I think my Nexus 7 could do it but c’mon Memo Pad.
Alright Pixlbit I should get my day going. I’m hungry and its time to make breakfast. Have a good week!
That’s all for now, more later!
