Good stuff that you're getting the cooler temps and congrats on the job! You need to get your hands on Avengers ASAP so you can finish off SHIELD, because the new season just started!
I'm also playing some Lego games but not SW, sorry.

Happy October, Pixlbit Nation! Today is a beautiful, sunny, cool day and I am revelling in cooler temperatures. Part of me is feeling a little guilty for not doing something outside, but the part of me that is recovering from the cold from hell just bitch-slapped the guilty part. My park job is done for the year, I'll start again at the beginning of April. In the meantime, I got a job at the local independent grocery store where I do most of my grocery shopping. Orientation is Sunday.
Listening: Lots of sea music. Went to the Portsmouth Maritime Folk Festival last Sunday and had a ball. All the events are free, and some of them are in pretty amazing historic properties. Plus, it didn't hurt that I knew at least half of the featured performers. The best part was stopping to listen to a young woman singing on the street corner before the festival started for the day and then joining her.
Watching: Binge watched all three seasons of Person of Interest that Netflix is currently streaming. Also been watching season 5 of Hawaii Five-O, and the new episodes of whatever current series I'm interested as they air this fall. Waiting to get my hands on Avengers: Age of Ultron because I missed it in the theaters, and I can't watch the rest of Agents of Shield until I see that. It's tough being OCD sometimes.
Reading: Not much lately. Should do something about that. Like get new glasses so reading doesn't give me a headache.
Playing: Still working on Lego Star Wars: TCS. I have two achievements left: 100% the game and play a level online. I don't game with random strangers, so if someone wants to help me out, let me know and maybe we can figure out a day and time to do that. I only have the blue minikits and playing the super story for each episode left to go. I have resorted to walkthroughs for the blue minikits if I've one through a level more than twice and failed to find all ten.
Still playing AC: New Leaf. I've not been as good at going in every day as I was at first, and I'm losing hybrid flowers right and left because they don't get watered. Oh, well.
Knocked a game off my backlog last night. Cary will be proud of me. I went back and finished The Maw. Now I'm debating if I want to go through and find the stuff I missed or move on. I'm leaning towards moving on, but it would be nice to complete the achievements...
I also dug out The Orange Box and tried to get interested in Half Life 2. Just not feeling it right now, I guess. I did play a few levels of Portal, I got stuck on the fifth and called it quits for the night.
I need to go find some food. Have a great first day of October, everyone!
Oo, The Maw. I gotta play that one. My friend Mark played that a lot. For some reason, I never played past the demo.
I got Lego SW on digital now so I can play it anytime. I'm pretty sure I'll be on Xbox most of Sunday and Monday. I usually get to Mark's place in the noon or 1 o'clock hour and stay until 11pm. I wish all the Lego games had online co-op. That would be awesome.
I was thinking that I may not have my original save game because I did that on a physical copy of the game, but maybe the digital copy will read the save too, or maybe my save was on my old console and I didn't copy it. I have to check, but it might be wise for you to host. Maybe I can remember the locations of some of those blue cannisters. I almost hope my save file is lost, though, because I want to play it all over again.
Portal is a work of genius. Half-life 2 is as well, but it's more of a FPS genre thing. Portal is unique.
I'm glad you got a job. You'll worry less about money and it will get you out of the house. That's kind of one of the reasons I'm working on music this time... I can envision it getting me out of the house if I go into the studio or play shows, and I could maybe use some socializing.
I have been meaning to ask about your car. Hope it's ok.
Yeah, I liked what I played of Portal. I have a hard time getting into any game with a first person view, so not sure if Half Life 2 will ever get played.
Oh, believe me, I know all about the depression because I'm broke effect. Although, I'm perfectly content staying home. I get out a decent amount, especially since my friend Charlie is happy to ive me a ride down to the group sings in Portsmouth.
Less said about my car, the better.
I'm glad you got a winter job! Are you still going to do the snowshoe races?
I'm also glad you finished The Maw. I don't think you'll be missing anything by moving on form it, but it sure was a cute game, wasn't it? I wish more game makers besides Nintendo would still make games like that. We don't get that many anymore. Kind of makes me a little sad.
I just bought the Portal pack that goes with LEGO Dimensions, but I don't have the full game yet. But the Portal stuff was the real reason why I wanted to play it, so at least I have it ready.
Right now I'm working on finishing my Skylanders Superchargers review, which will post late next week. I'm also playing a lot of Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer. It's not as good as regular Animal Crossing, so i can't recommended it to you unless you REALLY like AC as much as I do. Later this month I'll be looking forward to playing Chibi Robo: Zip Lash and Yoshi's Woolly World, among other things.
Hope you have a great weekend! --Cary
Good job on...well...getting a job. I remember playing Portal when I had The Orange Box years ago. I was fun, but I got intimidated before I got halfway through the game. I decided to try it again this year on Steam and, to my surprise, I finished the game in a few days. I felt so smart!
Avengers: Age of Ultron comes out today actually. After work, I'm making a bee-line for Target so I can pick that up. I love Marvel movies.
