I know I do Metal Monday and Punk Tuesday but I thought I would post something today. Nothing that will be done each week, just something for today. Now lets do it.

Jambang is Greg Ginn from Black Flag.

Wow Larry, great set and I listened to everything dude. I'm off now to find some more Glen Hansard and ending with the great Van Morrison, pure magic! You rocked my gypsy soul. :)

Have you ever heard og Glen? Check out the movie Once.

It is a great movie with a great soundtrack.

The Van Morrison is on one of my favorite 80's movie Dream A Little Dream.

Elvis Perkins is Anthony Perkins ( Psycho fame) son. His mother was on one of the planes on 9/11. That is why he wrote that song.

Yonder Mountain. I want to do a Bluegrass music blog.

Of course Ginn is a punk tie-in.

Thanks for checking it out Peter.

P.S.

I really like Black Flag. So it's good to see Greg Ginn doing his thing. Glen Hansard is outstanding, like his voice. The great Van Morrison can do no wrong,a true legend. I think I liked Elvis Perkins In Dearland the best. Nice use of those instruments together. Pretty unique sound there.

Greg has another band "Mojack", which I could not find a video for , but I do have the CDs. He offered them free for download a couple of years back.

Elvis Perkins is really good. His dad was Anthony Perkins "Psycho fame", His mother was on one of the planes on 9/11 and doomsday was wrote for that.

Thank you for listening.

Was not expecting a Black Flag member to be doing instrumentals, but I really dug it, especially the Texas Corrugators one, the bass, guitar, and drums all seemed to be leading at some point.

Loved it when the guitar kicked in on "Doomsday," I dig songs with build-up like that, and I've always liked that effect on the vocals, makes it sound like an older, classic song.

That "Frankins Tower" video looked like it had a fun crowd.Would never have thught to dance to that myself, but now I want to. lol

Glen Hanshard has an awesome voice, and that's a great beat. Love the video too, reminds me of my summers in Wisconsin when we'd go play out in the lake.

Van Morrison is awesome, and so is that bass. This was a great idea, very nice and easy songs  here.

I was wondering about your thoughts on Henry Rollins. Do you like his music since Black Flag? I like some of it,but it had to grow on me. His spoken word stuff is really good. We went to see him do one of those here in Tulsa once. Very interesting and funny guy.
