Question #5

                                             Lego Batman 3

I've been playing alot of Lego Batman 2 and 3 lately. There's just a certain charm about these games, like seeing your favorite characters as Lego Minifigures doing Lego things in their respective Lego Universes. I love that they give you a ton of characters to choose from and all the funny moments. The gameplay isn't the greatest, but the games are just fun to play.

So, today's question is: Which IP would you love to see as a stand alone Lego game? It can be based on a movie, tv show, video game, whatever. You can list 5 if you have more than one. For this, just throw Lego Dimensions out the window because I'm aware of the properties the game has, in case one of your ideas is there.

As usual, if you feel the comment is too long, feel free to turn it into a blog post. Just link back here as a response to the question.

Well, thanks for reading and later.

The novelty of Lego games wore off on me a long time ago. I'd need to see them evolve before I'd want to give them a spin. If that happened though, probably Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Yeah I know you said no LEGO Dimensions, but I'm going to do it anyway, so nyeah!

I think LEGO Ghostbusters would work very well, even though they'd have to change some gameplay mechanics to account for ghost catching and trapping.  But a change in that regard might be good.

The LEGO Back to the Future levels in Dimensions show that the movie doesn't always translate well to LEGO since the movies aren't all about action.

I just got done with the Midway arcade level in Dimensions where I played LEGO versions of Defender, Gauntlet, Super Sprint, and Robotron, and that was freaking awesome.

And the game also shows that a third person fixed camera Portal game really could work.

Other properties that could use the LEGO treatment include The Fifth Element, Futurama, and maybe a more fleshed out Simpsons title.  And everyone wants LEGO Zelda (just play 3-D Dot Game Heroes).

It will never happen of course but Final Fantasy. Id love a FF9 set or even sets for 7,8,10,12. A game would be freaking sweet but like I said I highly doubt we will even see Final Fantasy get a lego treatment.

James Rolfe on a video at Cinemassacre's Monster Madness this year talked about the Universal monster movies and how they are planing on doing the Marvel treatment with them, rereleasing the old monster movies as if they all existed in the same world together. How about a lego game of the Universal monsters. That would be cool.
