The Finest on the NES
Hey Pixlbit, how's it going? Sorry for spamming another blog post but today's the 27th anniversary of Super Mario Bros. 3! Well of the japanese release date, it released in 1988 over there and it was released over here in 1990. But that doesn't matter.
Out of all the games in the NES library, Super Mario Bros. 3 is definitely the best. Super Mario Bros. 1 and 2 are great games, but SMB3 is definitely a huge leap compared to those 2. It's also the first game we saw Mario fly for the first time, a world map, as well as introduce us to the Koopalings as well. It's such an iconic game and probably the most iconic game at the time. To say this game was huge is an understatement.
I never played it on the NES, but I have played it as part of the Super Mario All-Stars+SMW cart. I played it back in 2003 for the first time on my cousin's SNES on a trip to Mexico. It was such a great game. Eventually my brother got the port of SMB3 on the GBA and I remember playing it alot after he was done with it. I actually have experience with the NES version via Virtual Console. It still plays very well for an NES game, but it's still a great game no matter what version you choose.
I wanna keep this short because I could go on because it's Mario. So, when did you play it for the first time and in what format? What is your favorite memory? Thanks for reading and Happy Anniversary Super Mario Bros. 3!
