Played Some Games, Found Something To Play On The Phone

Good morning Pixlpeeps. I just want to say I almost bought the Kre-O GI Joe Terror Drome

It dropped from $90 to $30 bucks and it has free shipping. If I kick in another $4 I get 2-5 day shipping (most likely 2 day). Right before I clicked submit the whole “What am I going to do with it” kicked in. I never had the real Terror Drome as a kid, and I don’t know what happened to my Serpentor figure, but I decided against it because Black Friday is close, and there are a couple of items I want to get coughs Guitar Hero coughs.

So how was your weekend? Get any gaming done? Try something new? I spent some quality time with some consoles mainly the PS3, but there was a little bit of time with the PS4, although it wasn’t a lot of time. So did any of you get Star Wars Battlefront?

Apparently the SDSU Bookstore now has midnight launches. Old Guy Moment: When I was there was a small pegboard with 8 Playstation games hanging, and a couple of memory cards. That was the video game section I remember. Now they are having midnight launches, with tournaments, snacks, and other goodies. Enjoy it SDSU kids living on campus.

So what did I play this past week/weekend?

Video Game Chris appears to have become part of the regular starting lineup and moved up in batting order to either 4th or 5th. I am currently a week away from the All Star Break and Video Game Chris is 4th in fan voting for shortstops. I don’t think there is an All Star Game appearance in the works, but I think there will be for the Futures game.

So there is this game. I think I played maybe two songs before removing the disc for another plastic instrument game. I think once I get back in the swing of things I’ll go back to this game, and get back to my usual high 90s scores, but for right now it’ll stay on the sidelines.

I started this game and I have to say this is more my speed right now. The early songs are not too difficult on Medium setting, and I actually recognize the songs. The only difference between this game and regular Rockband games is that everything is in the Lego Universe.

Apparently the creators of Rockband are fans of Green Batman (I really didn’t pay attention to previous versions of RB)

Since I bought it and I am currently itching to play another FPS game why not give it a go? I’m playing on Easy because I don’t play a lot of these games because I get dizzy, and I’d like to knock out two levels at a time. Because of this approach I don’t get to earn the trophies for playing this game, but really who cares. If I still could I’d use cheat codes (I really miss cheat codes. It was fun running around taking down everything without taking damage). Anyways I like this futuristic shooter, and at times it feels like its Robocop.

While playing this game I noticed two characters look and sound familiar and it turns out it’s Rosario Dawson, and Brian Cox (the actor from Bourne and X-Men, not the former NFL Player).

I finished year number one with Baylor. The Bears went 12-1 with a dominating win over Georgia in the Fiesta Bowl. Baylor’s lone loss was to Kansas State, but they won the Big XII. I thought about moving Baylor to the Pac 12, but instead I added Georgia State and Memphis (both are currently ranked in the Top 25) to the Big XII just so I can have a championship game, which will be played at AT&T Stadium. Having an extra game can improve my ranking and the majority of Baylor’s conference games will be played in Texas. All schools not in Texas and does not have the word “Oklahoma” in their names have been moved to the East Division. If I went with the old North/South Divisions the Bears would have to travel to Atlanta, Mogantown, and Memphis instead of the cushy Texas/Oklahoma areas.

When not trying to move college teams, or play with a plastic guitar I played a little bit of this

There really isn’t much to say about this game other than I played three or four puzzles and I am moving along at a decent pace.

I decided to fire up the 360 to play Brink

The first thing I noticed is that the connection from the 360 to the HDMI switcher is acting up. Since I pushed the 360 into a shelf I think the bend of the cable is the reason why the screen will go blank at random points. I guess I should buy a new HDMI cable but when I pull out the 360 a little bit everything is fine.

So back to this game I really can’t say I like it or that I want to continue playing it. The game is just capture the flag with a weak storyline where you play as either the police or the resistance. If I want to play a five on five capture the flag I would just play multiplayer on a better shooter.

A couple of new mobile games I started playing

I started playing this on my phone because I wanted something that I can play in small bursts. It’s a typical match game but with Boggle mixed in. You match three shapes and that reveals three letters. The more you match the more letters you have to play with

Complete the objectives of each level and you move on to the next puzzle. You get the typical five lives because it’s a freemium game. There are the usual like checking in everyday to unlock freebies, and if you earn enough stars you get a mystery chest that is probably filled with more stuff I could use.

On my Android Tablet I started this game

Remember Bust-A-Move on the Playstation? Yeah well this is like that game, but with Angry Birds. Actually the Birds don’t do anything but sit in the side of the screen while you play Bust-A-Move.

To complete each level you clear out the bubbles until the pig falls down and then you move on to the next puzzle. Again it’s a freemium so you have five hearts to use.

Alright Pixlbit I am off to finish off my project. Have a good week and I think there is basketball on TV. I fell asleep while watching Long Beach State vs. bYu, woke up to see a little bit of Hawaii vs. Nevada, and when my alarm went off I watched a little of Super Step’s SFA take on Northern Iowa. My Aztecs kept it close last night but came up short. The team needs to jell together a bit but I am excited because along with the crazy Aztec Defense, there is some offense. Its going to be fun watching this squad

That’s all for now, more later!

Damn that is awesome. I have to admit I did have the GI Joe Crawler with Defiant (the big ass two shuttle set with mobile launch pad). Thing was bad ass.

No worries!

Thank you for watching the SFA game. I really need to catch up with them.

I did not get Battlefront, but I may ask for it for Christmas.

No worries, and its still early in the season.

I'm looking at Christmas for Battlefront. Hopefully by then it will be on sale. I'll get my lunch handed to me by the folks who played a ton of it on release day, but if its as fun as the older ones, it won't be that bad.

A friend was trying to get me to buy Star Wars Battlefront so I could play with him. I don't know if it's my type of game, all multiplayer social and all, but I want to see his video clips next time I log onto Xbox One.

I just got Syndicate! It's a Starbreeze Studios game. It's not on my immediate play list yet though, but soon.

I played some Brink earlier this year with my friend Mark. We didn't get into it very much.
