Question #9

Hey Pixlbit, how are you?

SNES

Today is the 25th anniversary of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, or SNES, or Super Nintendo, Super Famicom, or whatever you want to call it. Definitely the best console of the 16-bit era in my opinion, in my opinion otherwise it'll be the 16-bit Console Wars all over again. It has the best library of games of any Nintendo system, and sadly the last time Nintendo had a ton of third-party support. But we're not here to lament on that, we are here to celebrate. So the question(s) of the week is/are: What are your favorite SNES games? What is your opinion of it? Did you own one?

Well that's all for now, I'll be back in a while with my favorites and more, thanks for reading, later, and happy 25th Super Nintendo.

And before I forget, a shout out to one of our staff members who is celebrating their birthday today. Happy Birthday bro.

The SNES is my favorite game console.  Two of my top five favorite games of all time are SNES titles (FF6 and Super Mario Kart).  Other favorites include Super Mario World, FF4, Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, Super Mario RPG, Yoshi's Island, Super Metroid, Mario Paint, Link to the Past, Kirby Super Star, ActRaiser, and so many, many more!

Older brother owned it, my faves were SFIITurbo and SMW.

I had one. I distinctly remember giving myself blisters from playing Donkey Kong Country on it too much.

I owned one, but not until my teen years. Honestly I still love a lot of the games on that system, and I think the SNES aesthetic is timeless.

My favourites would be super mario all stars + mario world, and Super Metroid. There are so many great games for the system but those are the two I keep coming back to.

Never owned a SNES, I was a Sega Genesis kid. Looking back, I am glad I owned a Genesis, I loved a lot of games on that system. I have played Super Mario World and I like it, I've never beat it though. I could never get past a certain Ghost House level with multiple doors, one was an exit, I just never found it to this day. And I was never a fan of Super Metriod, I didn't like the fact there was so much backtracking in it. The Legend of Zelda game as well, lol, never got into that either. Mario Kart was probably my favorite game on that system. Well that's my opinionn, it may not be popular, but that is my experience with Super Nintendo.
