I remember as a kid and the NES was out and you could put a code into Metroid and get to play as suitless Samus. She had green hair then. Green hair is awesome.

On the 3rd Day of ChriSMASH
Hey Pixlbit, how are you? Another day and another post for ChriSMASH. On the 3rd Day of ChriSMASH, the character I'll post about...
The Warrior Within and Bounty Hunter Extraordinaire, Zero Suit Samus and Samus. I didn't play my first Metroid game till near the end of 2008, but I was well aware who Samus was thanks to Smash. I remember using Samus in the first Smash and looked at the character bios and was surprised to learn that Samus was a woman. I was a kid at the time, but that was a mind blowing moment for me at the time. It was things like these that made me love games, these surprises or plot twists.
Back in Brawl if you got the Smash Ball with Samus, she would do an attack called Zero Laser which Samus shot a blast from her arm cannon that could be aimed at any direction to attack opponents. Anyone caught in it would get blasted off the stage like Team Rocket in Pokemon. However Samus would lose her armor and you'd use Zero Suit Samus instead. It was neat because you'd technically have 2 characters in one. Zero Suit Samus would need to get the Smash Ball in order for her to regain her Varia suit.
This changed in SSB Wii U/3DS, Samus and Zero Suit Samus became separate characters because of the hardware limitations on the 3DS. It sucks but my money is on amiibo figures, since how would they fit both of them on the stand? Same applies to Zelda. Anyway, Samus is an offensive powerhouse, using weapons and moves from the Metroid games. Samus might seem like a character best used as a long range fighter, but she can also get up close and attack. The only flaw is that Samus is slow. Makes sense because of the suit she wears.
If power and slow isn't your thing, Zero Suit Samus might. Zero Suit Samus is fast and agile. Plus out of all veteran fighters, Zero Suit Samus got a huge improvement in her attacks as well as appearance. In fact, Zero Suit Samus feels like a brand new character and she got a new Final Smash which is very cool as well.
I could of separated them into individual posts, but I don't want to cheap it out like they did with the roster. They may be separate characters, but to me they are still one character.
Well that's it for this post on ChriSMASH, thanks for reading and latter.
