Final Destination before Smash Direct

So the next Nintendo Direct is upon us, which will be a Direct dedicated to Super Smash Bros. Wii U/3DS. I'm incredibly hyped for this. This Direct will focus on Cloud and more, and Masahiro Sakurai has said that this will feature the final dlc for the game. It is unknown if all the last dlc will be available at the end of the direct, or if we'll get a glimpse at the final dlc which will be released a few months later, like they did with Mewtwo and Lucas.

There will be plenty of rumors and leaks these last few days, and there will be leaks because Nintendo is going to do eShop maintenance tomorrow on both systems. This happened the last time, so who knows. This Direct will either make or break dreams as it's the final dlc and everyone is hoping for their favorite characters in the game. I am too. So here is the question for this edition: Since it's the final dlc, who would you love to see as a playable fighter in SBB's Final dlc? Anything goes since people apparently want Spongebob or another random meme character.

If Shovel Knight is not a part of this SMASH. He better be in the initial roster for the NX SMASH

Alot of people want Shovel Knight, he might have a chance since there's a Shovel Knight amiibo. If not in this one, hopefully in the next one. I also saw what you did there.

From what I understand, the amiibo is irrelevant because it is not a Nintendo published amiibo. Yacht Club Games is doing it all themselves. That being said, what a waste if they don't use it.

Welp, you shouldn't worry about Sponge Bob, meme characters or Goku since the ballot stated that there can only be video game characters.

As one last character, i'm hopping to see either an Inkling, Shovel Knight or even Shantae based mostly on popularity on the polls. Anything from the gaming world counts.

Yeah, I'm sure Sakurai has it all figured out. Even through he does troll people sometimes. I would love to see the Inklings, they can do the same thing they did with Robin and Villager. I'd personally want Shantae in, next to Banjo, she's my most requested. And Snake for returning.

At first, I would have been positive with Snake returning, but considering the fall of Konami this year and them bent on destrying their image, I won't hold my breath.

Crash Bandicoot and Spyro because it would be hilarious for then to be there but not PS All Stars. Think Spyro stands a good chance with Skylanders too

That would be hilarious, Cloud was the most requested character for All-Stars, and look what happened? I'd be down for Crash and/or Spyro. I kinda surprised there hasn't been a Crash Skylander figure since Activision holds the rights to the franchise? May be wrong on that though.

And since Spyro started out on Sega Saturn (I seriously did not know that and I've been inside Insomniac studios).

I also didn't know Crash wasn't in PS All Stars. That's really weird to me since he was basically the PSX mascot.

I was about to say Cloud makes sense until I realized he was in VII, and therefore a PlayStation character despite Nintendo's history with Final Fantasy.

Personally, I think Shovel Knight would be the best fit for the Smash universe. The humor of that game and Knight's Mega Man-like abilities fit the character moveset, tone, etc.

Whoever they announce to add to the roster is fine by me, I'm just hoping we hear about a complete edition of the game that I can pick up. Buying all the DLC individually is going to cost a small fortune. Hell, I'd even take a "complete pack" download for like $30.

My brother says they might announce a GOTY ED or complete edition with all the dlc. I'm going to buy whoever they announce anyway.
