We've reached the Final Destination...
Hey Pixlbit How are you? Today was the long awaited Smash Bros. Direct. It's the final one as in the last of the dlc content was announced. It was really awesome. There were new character announcements and more. You can watch the video, or check out the highlights bellow...
More of Cloud was shown as we as the Midgar Stage. Very neat how the stage will change. Cloud will be available later today for 6.99 with the stage included if you buy the 3DS/Wii U bundle. Ryu was the same price previously.
Corrin, from the new Fire Emblem game(s) was also announced. You can play as both male and female Corrin, like you did with Robin. No new stage was announced. Corrin wont be available till early next year, but Corrin will be at 4.99.
Finally, Bayonetta was announced as a playable character. She has alternate costumes based on her appearance in Bayonetta 1 and 2. Her fighting style is combo based, based on her games. She also comes with a stage as well. She wont be available till early next year, but will be at 6.99 with stage included as a 3DS/Wii U bundle.
Amiibo figures of all 3 characters are in development, and Lucas, Roy, and Ryu amiibo figures will be available on March 18 2016.
Finally, more Mii Fighter Costumes will be available. You can tell by the costumes that people will be really angry at this. I call Mii Fighter Costumes, the place where your dreams go to die.
Well that's all of the Direct. It was very great. I think the character announcements were great, the lats character announcements I was really excited for was Rosalina's and Shulk's, these are up there for me. I'm surprised that they supported this game for so long after release. Sakurai and his team did an amazing job with the games. I think this is the definitive Smash Bros. game and think it'll be a challenge for Smash 5 to topple it. Still, it was a great run with dlc. So, are you excited for the new dlc? I really like the Bayonetta character as well as Corrin and Cloud, but it is disappointing Shovel Knight will not make it into the game. I wonder if he was one of the characters that were not "realizable" for some reason.
What was the Top 5 requested characters in the U.S. anyway? I think Bayonetta was a very European choice. lol
Goku would fit were he underpowered, but the other two are just dumb.
I'm pretty happy with Pac-Man/Kirby/Mega Man.
Really liked the presentation overall, not much for Corrin, but Bayonetta. If anything, her announcement makes me more eager to finally start playing my copy of Bayonetta on the Wii U.
