I was going to wait and buy a Wii U after Christmas during the Boxing Day sales but I could stand my old noisy 27" LCD no longer. I picked up this 32" 1080p Smart TV yesterday for $200. Merry Christmas to me.

It looks great on PS3, Xbox 360 and TV but the output on the Wii looks like arse. Note my lovely speaker stands made of old Microsoft training guides I've never used.

Thanks GH. Those are very expensive speaker stands. LOL.

I have a 32", but it looks a lot bigger. You must have taken this from far away.

About 5 feet from it on the couch I sit on to play.

Must be the centering and stuff around it.

Yep, it looks much better in full size. You have to compare it to the consoles on top of the unit.

$200 US? Pretty good deal. Looks nice too.

I want to get a 55" OLED from LG that was going for $1800 US, but the Canadian dollar sucks right now and retail is adding an extra $1000 on top of the exchange rate value.

I know haha. I was just suspicious because of the crappy Canadian dollar. That's a great effin' deal then.

Yeah our buck is the pits (and I misspelled your name). I couldn't believe the deal so I went for it. Real Canadian Superstore and on a no tax event too. :)

YOU MISSPELLED MY NAME? That's okay.

That's a good deal on a TV, I think.  I remember when I got my big flat screen TV in 2006, I was so happy because I always wanted a big TV like that, even when I was a kid.

My new one's a 32" too. I sit really close to it. Any bigger and I'd have to sit back a ways.

Nice one. Back in January of this year when I moved to a new city to study university, my dad and I bought one for my current apartment that looks a bit like yours, only that mine isn't a smart tv. If only I could remember the specs.

Kind of a shame that you won't get a Wii U...

Congrats on the new TV! Have you tried out any of the smart TV features? Does your TV have any games? My TV is a smart TV but the only thing I actually tinkered with was YouTube (I thought my tablet would stream natively to the TV but it just tells the TV what I was watching on YouTube)

Nope, I haven't touched them yet. All I see on there is YouTube, Netflix and something called Vudu which I've never heard of.
