On the 12th Day of ChriSMASH...

Hey Pixlbit how are you? Final day of ChriSMASH! On the 12th Day of ChriSMASH, the character I'll post about...

 

The Cosmic Travelers, Rosalina and Luma. I've always wanted Rosalina in Smash. I became a fan of her when I played the Galaxy games. She has a tragic backstory in the first Galaxy game too, I really can't say much because it's a spoiler. She's a very interesting and mysterious character. Super Mario Galaxy was a great game, but she really added a story to it, other than the usual Bowser kidnapped Peach story. It's optional, but it's there to give us a backstory to her without being force onto you, or the game.

Out of all my pics for characters I wanted in Smash, she was my number 1 pic. I certainly got my wish back the on a last Nintendo Direct back in 2013. Not only that but she became a playable character in Mario Kart 8  and in Super Mario 3D World. I certainly got an early Christmas present that year, and was very happy. 

As for Rosalina and Luma in Smash, she plays kinda like the Ice Climbers. Not exactly like them, but as a comparison. Luma acts as a second-ish character, you can control Luma to attack at the same time as you, giving more damage than usual. Rosalina can also negate any projectile thrown at her, as well as pull in any items near by with a gravitational field. She can also launch Luma at opponents for damage, the longer you charge, the further Luma travels as well as give more damage. She can also make Luma hit opponents with Starbits. She also has a great recovery move which launches her in the air, you can also angle the way you launch yourself.

There is just one downside to her: If Luma takes too much damage, it disappears, and Rosalina will be left without it. A different one comes back as time goes on. You see, without Luma, you can't maximize damage and 2 of Rosalina's special moves become useless. She is still useable though.

Rosalina can be a tricky character to use, but if you know the ins and outs of her moveset, then you can play some clever mind tricks on your opponents.
