The Tireless Wanderer, Ryu. I remember playing Street Fighter 2 back in the day, it was really fun. When Ryu was revealed, some people had doubts, especially when Sakurai once said that no character from an existing fighting game would be in Smash. I'm surprised they went with Ryu, instead of a Tekken character since Namco was developing Smash with Sakurai. But I guess you had to have a character from the franchise that put fighting games on the map.

Ryu is a cool addition in my opinion. You can play as Ryu in 2 different ways. You can play as him as a character from Smash, or you can play as him with the button commands from Street Fighter. That's a nice touch they did. In fact, when Kirby eats Ryu, you can even power up Kirby's Hadouken using the same thing you would do if you used Ryu. Very nice touch. Ryu has 2 versions of a Final Smash, which is a first for the game. He's pretty fun to use all things considered.
