I actually enjoyed the story when I first played it, but I couldn't tell you what that ended was all about. Patriotism, somehow, I guess?
I need to play Zone of the Enders at some point. And Metal Gear Ghost Babel sounds awesome.

YOTS
So far for YOTS I have played and finished Metal Gear Solid: Digital Japanese release and Metal Gear Solid The Twin Snakes: Nintendo Gamecube.
I am now playing Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty: MGS HD Collection PS3,
I am really beginning to appreciate this game more and more everytime I play it. I am playing on very easy and I am actually watching all the cutscenes and I am using the codec conversations to really immerse myself into the story line of this game. It probably has one of the deepest storylines of all the Metal Gear games. La Le Lu Le lo anyone?
I am also exploring every nook and cranny I can find and I am starting to find some really intersting Easter Eggs. Here are just a few. I am sorry for the poor quality of the photos but I was using one hand to have Raiden in first person view and the other hand to hold the camera and take the photo. So the photos are not the best of quality.
Zone of The Enders Some boxes in storage
* all photos unfortunately courtsey of GH*
While crawling through the vent shaft (you can see the vent in the above photo, left of boxes on floor) you see another stack of boxes
Z.O.E.
In another section of the Big Shell you will see a poster
Z.O.E. poster
In the same room on the same wall is another poster
Metal Gear Ghost Babel
Also in the same room but on a different wall is yet, another poster!
Policenauts
Notice the guard on the floor to the right of the poster. I used the tranq gun on him and now he is nighty night!
I am enjoying myself with this game, but then again, it's a Metal Gear game
What's not enjoy about it!
La Le Lu Le Lo!!!
Joe: I wasn't too impressed when I first played it. I was one of those that felt betrayed by Hideo making Raiden the main character, But I got over it and I am letting myself have fun. the story line is deep and interesting. I believe Ghost Babel is a gameboy game and I would love to play it. Too bad you dont have a PS3 ( or maybe not too bad) there is a Z.O.E. hd release.
I didn't skip any cut scenes, dialouge, or codec conversations when I played through all the MGS games. Those codec convos get pretty deep! I plan on playing all of them again someday. I've only played the first one more than once. Damn my ultra ridiculous backlog!
Aaron: My first playthrough I skipped a few cutscenes and I didnt pay much attention to the story, My second playthrough I watched all the cutscenes, but its been a few years since playing, so it all feels fresh and new so Im watching and listening to everything! As for my backlog, as long as i keep replaying games i will never get to the games I havent even started yet
