R.I.P. David Bowie. A couple of my favorites were "Space Oddity" and "Let's Dance," which I became aware of via Elite Beat Agents. I'll be watching Labyrinth tonight if it's still on Netflix. Never seen it, but seen a few posts about it today and have been wanting to. All hail The Goblin King.

my favorite song is "All the Madmen" off of "The Man who Sold the World."  Besides being musically beautiful, it's about mental illness, which I can relate to.  It's hard to believe he's dead -- perhaps he faked his death though and returned to his alien planet.

His new song Lazarus is pretty good.

The whole album is brilliant. I've been listening to it all weekend and wondering if he was going to tour again. When the news broke I felt like I'd been punched in the gut. I'm still in denial.

That's good to hear, was thinking of picking it up; just wish this wasn't how I heard of it.

I instantly remember the moment in Life Aquatic where they played Queen Bitch. That song rocks so hard. Also Moonage Daydream from Guardians of the Galaxy as they're entering that space head space station. I recently wondered if the words "I'm a space invader" in that song was the inspiration for the name of the video game. Bowie's song was '72, game '78. They should replace all the enemies in that game with tripped out Ziggy Stardust heads.

No one has cause of death? Is it a secret? I want to know.

Cancer was cause of death, I forget what kind.

Please tell me you watched labyrinth? It's a great movie. I can't believe he passed away, I listened to his last album he just released. It's utterly fantastic.

The DVD should be cheap, I think you could buy at Walmart for 5$.

Though not by much, I did get emotional when my dad told me about his death. I became a big fan in past few years. It's also grimly curious that I finally decided to get my first album of his (Hunky Dory) two weeks before his death.

In any case, rest in peace Bowie, you were such a great influence.

I'm one of the few who has never seen Labyrinth. I did like him in his cameo in Zoolander during the walkoff. Last weekend I had his Greatest Hits on repeat while walking around and I forgot a couple of songs that remind me of when I was younger. I'd like to say I own Let's Dance on 12" record. I should find out.
