Borderlands 2 level cap & new character on the way

Even before the Aliens Colonial Marines debacle, Gearbox has had Borderlands fans a bit annoyed with miss-information about the eventual level cap raise. Well it is official on April 1st a dlc pack that raises the lv cap to 61 and adds a third play through option will be available. No details yet on the specifics of this third play through. Also many fans are concerned about how this will effect all the lv 50 Legendary gear the have aquired. I personally am annoyed that this went from being part of the final installment of the season pass and is now another dlc to purchase.

The other big news is the idenity of the new sixth playable character. Kreiger the Psyco is the newest member of the vaulter hunter crew. No solid details on how he will play but it looks like he is going to be a melee heavy much like Brick was in the first game. He will be available some time in May also as added dlc and not part of the final season pass installment. And there are no details yet about that final installment either although it may have been pushed later into the summer too spread things out.

Despite this questionable move to sqeeze more money from the dlc in this game, I am a huge fan of the series and have had a blast playing though it and collecting and sharing loot with friends. I hope that Gearbox puts more effort into the final season pass installment than they did in the last two. Their reputation is already in serious jeopardy from the Aliens CM mess, they can't afford to screw this up.

So is EA oh wait I mean Gearbox doing the old stick it to ya lol, all kidding aside im still waiting on the release of the last dlc for the season pass with that and the mechromancer dlc im almost at the price of the game in its intereity so your saying this new character and dlc will be a seprate purchase from the season pass, are you sure EA didnt buy out Gearbox lol.

Yeah, it is really a bit disappointing. I preordered so I got the mechromancer, a handful of beginner guns, and two golden keys for free. I got the GTY version of the first Borderlands which came with all four of the expansions and they were all very good. So I figured they would be good this time around too so I got the season pass. Captain Scarlett was was on par with what I was expecting. Torgue and Hammerlock not so much. I really like these games so I suppose will just not think about the cost. They will probably charge $10 for Kreiger like they did for Gaige. The lv cap should be free considering its only 11 more skill points.They should have made it cap at 75.

I liked Borderlands well enough but Randy is starting to develop a certain notoriety for being a bull-shitter. His last name "Pitch"ford even plays into his hustling & fast talking skills. lol.

Yeah I'm not very happy with the guy. He says one thing and then they do something all together different. But evertime there was mention of the lv cap being raised it was always implied that it would be included in one of the four seasonal installments. I don't care if they charge for the extra character, he was a total suprise. But the level cap was in there from day one.

Very excited to get to the DLC now that the Level Cap is coming. Im sure it will be a blast. The new class looks pretty fun too.

I know a lot of people have held off on playing through the dlc until the Lv cap was raised. But they should gave bumped it up to 75. We are going to get 11 more skill points ,thats enough to max out two more 5 point skills and a 1 pointer. They should give us enough to at least max out two skill trees just to keep things interesting.
