2-bit Cowboy icon The makers of 2-bit Cowboy clearly love the original Game Boy. Just look at those shades of green! And it's a fun little platformer too. The game is divided into levels where the ultimate goal is to reach the exit building but there's lots to do along the way. You can collect bounties for all sorts of things, like killing three scorpions or saving all the chickens (I think they look like ducks). There's a decent variety and it's usually stuff you're doing anyway. You can ride horses and bulls too! The levels are more open than linear, allowing you to wander around to complete your little missions. The game plays pretty well too, for having virtual controls at least. I'm only a few levels in but the controls have not proved frustrating yet. And though it's just cosmetic, you can use coins you collect in the game to customize your cowboy (or cowgirl!). Mine wears a top hat and bandit mask Wink 2-bit Cowboy is a cute little homage the the original Game Boy that manages to be fun on its own as well, especially for a measly 99 cents.

I remember playing 2-bit Ninja a couple years back.  I had some fun with it.

I tried to find 2-bit Ninja on the App Store because that sounds awesome, but it's either been pulled or has a different name. Poo Frown
