My New Addictions

Holy fucking shit this game is cool. I mean, firstly, it's cyberpunk, so it automatically gains points. It's also Asynchronously multiplayer with hackers trying to take down "evil" corporations political reasons, financial reasons, or just because they can, depending on which hacker you play as. The corporations try and play a game of deception and bluffs, tricking the hacker into furthering their agendas or outright killing them, while the hacker tries to steal or destroy those agendas. It's thrilling stuff.

I bought the boxset, and it comes with over 200 cards, 4 corporations and 3 hackers. It was $20 on Amazon, I think I got my monies worth. The rulebook also has like 6 pages of lore, and it's cool stuff.

I've also been playing a ton of Towerfall with Bilby. It's quite honestly one of if not the best couch multiplayer game I've ever played. I just wish there was online support so I could play it with more than just Bilby. I also wish playstation controllers didn't cost you your first born and two fifths of your soul. For the same reason. And also because it's kind of a cunty move Sony.

Seriously though, this game is ridiculously fun, and Bilby and I just finished the expansion's campaign that came with boss fights and shit, all of which were quite well designed. The last one in particular was pretty brutal, and it was a huge relief when we finally conquered it.

This wonderful, wonderful video. Oh and I got my license back. I CAN LEAVE THE HOUSE ON MY OWN! Which means I can start looking for a house. Which means I won't live half an hour out of town. Which means I can excorcise more, be more social, and eventually, GET A FUCKING KITTEN! Seriously, that is my current life goal. Get a kitten. Because kittens are the best.

Oh, and Casey is a dimwitted buffoon. The Witcher 3 is tits, don't trust anything he says.

PS4 controller I got for Christmas was $60 USD, according to my older brother. So as much as a game. Are they more in AUS? As in more than equivalent of PS4 game in AUS?

Funny you want online; I want more couch multi.

I still need to play Witcher 3.

I wish my apt allowed pets. I miss Catara.

$60 USD is $90 AUD atm. Our controllers are $90. Our games are usually $90 (except for Bethesda who seem to be pushing for $60 here) and we generally pay about 30-50% more than you for everything.

And yeah I love it as a couch multiplayer game, I just wish I could play it with my friends from college/some people on here.

And yeah, it sucks that there are barely any places that allow pets.

Actually, my apt.is one of the only places here I ran into no pets policy, usually you just pay an extra fee to have them. I'm not sure why pets aren't allowed here, maybe cause it's such a small complex and owner is not around.

Ah. We have different laws unfortunately.

Oh, it's a state/federal law? Here it's mostly up to the complex I believe. I'm sure there are some cities with anti-pet ordinances, but otherwise it's decided by the owner (or psarent company).

It's more that we can't pay extra to have a pet. And most places just don't allow pets. So most people who want pets get really good at hiding the smell/have a place they can stay during inspections. And yeah it's all through Australia.

I only heard of the Netrunner Card Game from an idle thumbs podcast that is still ongoing devoted to the game and it sounds interesting. I don't think I've heard of podcasts around card games before? Why is it popular, or why is it interesting to you?
I actually use the PS4 controller for my PS3 and PC gaming, so I find it the most usefull controller I've ever owned!
You've certainly been more focused on coop and social games. I havent touched an MMO in quite a while.

There's a few really interesting things about Netrunner. Firstly, it's more about bluffing and resource management than most card games. Secondly, the expansions are relatively cheap. I think you can get every card in an expansion for about $200, which sounds like a lot, but then you realise that they completely cut the random element out, and release expansions in faction packs so you only need to pay for the factions you use.

There'a also the lore and the asynchronous elements - both sides play COMPLETELY differently. Hackers are trying to access your hand, deck and cards you put out so they can steal your agenda cards, and corporations are defending them and trying to get agendas. Or trick them into killing themselves. It's really interesting, and then when you add in the fact that different factions specialise in different things and you can mix factions and -

Ahem. The game is stupidly deep. But also relatively simple to pick up. Just watch an online tutorial, because the rulebook's a touch long and impenetrable.

And yeah, I have been playing a lot more multiplayer, although it's mostly so I can play with Bilby. The other game i'm playing is ESO, but I still don't know how I feel about it. And I've decided I don't like what I've played of Blade and Soul. Maybe I just need to sink more hours in.

And the PS4 controller is great. They just cost $90 each here.

I've  picked up some roleplaying books just to read up on the lore because I find them intriguing. I've been holding my breath for a netrunner video game, but I don't think thats going to happen, a TCG like Magic anyway. I might purchase the box just to collect. I like the art in trading card games.

I really couldnt get into Blade and Soul. I prefer the passive turn-based MMO controls to the action ones, although I like action MMOs that are well done. But B&S didn't stick with me at all. I guess they all have that stupid 10 hour tutorial beginner area that I always find dull. I'm still holding out on Black Dessert or Bless MMO.

ESO. I'd rather go back to Secret World or Star Wars honestly.

If you want to try netrunner, give this a go: http://www.tuism.com/octgn-netrunner-fool-proof-guide/

Yeah, I like the movement system in BnS but the combat left me cold, as did the quests. It was so dull! I'm also looking forward to Black Desert. I haven't heard much about Bless, but the other MMO I'm looking forward to is Lost Ark, which is Diablo 3 but with 10 times the enemies at once and it looks insane!

ESO... could be a good game. It's just that it's so dull. Exploration doesn't feel worth it, and though some of the quests have solid writing, it just isn't enough.

Cool! Thanks for the link! Have you played with online TCG programs like this before? I've heard of Lackey http://www.lackeyccg.com/ but never tried it myself. I might give your link a go!
