So while the rest of you are preparing for your BaD next month, I realized I just do not have the time for that I used to. So I'm going in once a week next month, maybe twice. But don't look for me blogging, look for me on the reviews as I give you PENaT: Pokemon Every Now and Then. I'll review every mainline Pokemon game with the exceptions of the 3DS titles. The reason? Well JD gave an excellent review of X and Y while I have Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire covered.

But as for Red/Blue/Yellow, Gold/Silver/Crystal, Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald, Firered/Leafgreen, Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, Heartgold/Soulsilver, Black/White, and Black 2/White 2? You'll see which are the best, which are worth playing, and which may be best to skip. And I may throw in a few other reviews as well now that we have that simplified shortened review system. One which I will not use at all for Pokemon given that to best compare them, I need the star system. Some of these reviews may actually surprise you upon seeing what I actually think on these games.

Since you seem to be an expert on Pokemon, I was wondering if you've played the trading card game on Gameboy Color cause I've heard quite a few people still obsess about it and it makes me want to give it a try. I don't think the ipad version of the game is that bad, but it's no Hearthstone, but then again what digital TCG is?

Rad! Have you tried the Mystery Dungeon games or that free game on 3DS? I thought those were quite good as well?

I tried them, but not enough to review them. Hated Mystery Dungeon and Rumble was something I could take or leave

Thats fair. You tried them out at least. Mystery Dungeon was way to easy, but I here the newer game is better. I might try the new one.

My beef with Mystery Dungeon is how it stupidly axed evolutions to post game content. One of the most rewarding aspects of Pokemon and you take it out of the main game?
