I liked bioshock 2. I thought that it played a lot better than the original. The story was my only problem with the game, and i did not pay too much attention to it anyways.
I think that the square-enix mobile games have been a big problem as well.

I am not a fan of Yoichi Wada. For years, I felt the guy had zero idea of how to create and market Final Fantasy games. He wanted to create more Western-style games over titles that had that distinct Japanese feel. He seemed oblivious to whatever the fans wanted. While his company did publish some decent games the last 2 years, it was the lack of a new Final Fantasy and endless side stories to the mediocre Final Fantasy XIII that did him in, resulting in SE posting a huge loss.
Hopefully, SE will bring in a CEO that remembers what buttered their bread. Hopefully, we'll see a return to the classic JRPG in future releases. Hopefully, they hire someone with brains who realizes that Microsoft will never succeed in Japan. Maybe Kingdom Hearts 3 will be a reality than just a pipe dream.
You will not be missed, Wada-san.
Looks like Bioshock Infinite is a GOTY from everybody so far. I had my doubts, though. Perhaps the bad taste from BioShock 2 still lingered. My computer probably wouldn't do it justice so I'll buy the PS3 version sometime this week or next week. I want to finish Tomb Raider first.
After that, nothing until The Last Of Us and then after that, probably nothing until GTAV. Plenty of time to whittle down the backlog.
Those NCAA commercials they have been airing during the Final Four tournament are a joke. Yeah, the NCAA cares about their student-athletes. When have these selfish and wealthy bigwigs ever cared about the broke college student? There are frazzled kids appearing on Let's Make A Deal making fools of themselves in front of Wayne Brady in order to get a few Gs.
The day the major colleges realize that the NCAA is hurting them more than helping them and decide to form their own college league and go by their own rules, the better.
That Spirit Squad is annoying. Imagine them in that water balloon fight in that BYU commercial.
I bought the PC version of 2 and it had a lot of issues: Games For Windows-Live eventually wouldn't load an update, rendering the game unplayable unless I went through some hoops and the game had no controller support. I also found some areas of the game near impossible to complete on normal. When you need to lower the difficulty to Easy after 15 attempts to defeat a swarm of enemies going after you and the Little Sister, that's a bad sign.
