BaD: Anticipated Most 2016 Games Part 3

The Last Guardian

Shadow of the Colossus is a game that moved me very deeply. It's a game of exploring a sparse and haunting world, and killing beautiful creatures that arguably don't deserve it. It's a product of it's time, a title that truly couldn't exist today outside of the indie scene, as it's so overwhelmingly sparse and maudlin, it couldn't possibly arouse American kids who jerk off into gun cabinets.

It's my all time favourite game of all time. I've never played it, but I write about video games sometimes so it has to be by law.

The Last Guardian looks like Shadow of the Collossus. At least in terms of graphics. It looks like a bloody PS2 game! But that doesn't matter as long as it's nice and sad and emotionally complex, and artsy and stuff. I have played ICO, and that game moved me, and I want to see what the fuss is about with this studio so let's go!

Mass Effect: The New One Where We Ignore That Thing That Nobody Liked

I shouldn't blog when I'm tired. It does things to the words.

It's bloody Mass Effect, you're all anticipating it too! If you don't know what it is, say the words “Mass Effect 3 has the best ending of anything ever" to Casey and see what happens. Actually, everyone who's actually reading this, go message him and say that right now. Especially Casey, if you're reading this.

I have a feeling Casey is gonna murder you before this year is out.

I'm really excited about The Last Guardian however I'm pretty much convinced there gonna kill me with heartbreak. It will involve the beautiful and adorable creature too.

I never got to play the Mass Effect series so maybe I can play the new one without much knowledge of the first series.

Wtf is wrong with you? Play Mass Effect. Now. I'd say skip the first one if you have troubles with how dated it feels, I generally do these days, and on PS3 there's ways to still make changes. ME2 and 3 are some of the best narrative experiences you'll experience in gaming. The characters are all amazing!

I really hope The Last Guardian is good. I have a bad feeling that it's not going to be a good game.

I don't know how I feel about the new Mass Effect. I loved the first 2 games and the 3rd game almost ruined everything for me. When I play a Mass Effect game, I play them to the end. The last couple times, I played ME3 about halfway before I couldn't take it anymore. It does have the best combat in the series though. In the new game, I hope we can play as different species. That would get me on board.

The problem with 3 is I think it's amazing until the end. It has some of the best moments in the series IMO.

But yeah, I definitely understand why it's hard to go back when you know how it ends.

I so want to play as different species, mainly so I can see what Asari look like.

I'm not really excited about The Last Guardian. I loved the Shadow of Colossus demo, but never really got into the main games from Team Ico.

I will be significantly more excited about Mass Effect if they announce a PS4 release of the original Trilogy and allow you to import your saves from those games.

Is Andromeda linked to the first 3 or is it its own thing within the franchise?

It probably has story ties, but it's separate from the original trilogy with new characters and it's set in a different galaxy.

If you can, you should play the Mass Effect games. Some of the best games out there, especially if you like Sci fi.

I own the original on Steam thanks to a sale, but it's anyone's guess if I can actually play it.

has been hard to maintain enthusiasm for Guardian after all this time. They need to show a killer demo to respark the flame. The boy and his dog theme is sure to wreck me though if this game is up to the standards of their other games.

Is ME4 going to be Sirius Shepard again? I want to play as the swaggering Cpt. Flint Chestrock, dicking down alien babes by the dozen with my prodigious member, shooting first like Han Solo on angel dust, and saving the muh'fukkin day in style. Original? No. Fun as hell? Absolutely.

The thing with The Last Guardian is I'm anticipating it's release more so I can put it to bed rather than actually being super pumped to play it. I just want to know if it's good or not.

And it's not Shepherd. It's a new character in a new galaxy. Meaning possibly new aliens and stuff, and hopefully meaning other races.
