That really sucks re: Dave Mirra.
Love Earth, Wind, and Fire.
I saw Schwimmer on Colbert, never knew they were in Second City together.

Happy Friday Pixlpeeps! So how has your first week of BaD? On my end its going well. I’m only a day behind and I should be caught up with the BaD posts and then I’ll check out my backlog of blogs after that (thank goodness it isn’t Mount Backlog of Blogs). Let’s get started with Quick Hits!
It’s Lego NBA All Stars!
Currently listening to: Big Baroque Box Vol. II. It’s a collection of 100 Baroque songs from Amazon.
Chris Watches…
The People Vs. OJ Simpson – FX: Oh I remember the car chase like it was yesterday. I was watching basketball and boom OJ was on TV. From that point on the family and I all sat around the TV and watched. Fast forward to the verdict and I was sitting in Spanish class listening to the radio when it was interrupted for the verdict. We had our Spanish teacher turn the TV on so we could watch. Now that there’s a movie I’m watching to see how Hollywood portrays the events. So far Episode 1 is good except I don’t think OJ was smaller than Shapiro, and Kardashian. Also whenever Robert Kardashian is on screen all I can think of is Ross Geller is getting older
Grease Live – Fox: I know I mentioned it earlier this week, but I forgot to mention how much respect I have for the people who made that product happen. There were a lot of moving parts behind the scenes that made the magic happen.
The Associate Director is counting the music beats and directing the cameras, and this is just for one number. Props to the folks who work behind the scenes, and this production better win some technical awards.
Green Batman (Arrow) – CW: The show is borrowing from everyone now, and last week Fake Robin was back and I think I have an idea on who they buried in the first episode of this season.
Chris’ Theory: Ok so I heard that it is going to be someone from Season 1, and the teaser they showed was the scene in the limo with Felicity and Oliver after the funeral where Felicity wants Oliver to kill. I think it is Walter Steele, the ex-husband of Moira Queen. Felicity loved him because he stood up for her, Oliver and Thea see him as family, he’s a character they can kill off without disrupting the core cast, he’s technically a family member which makes him a target for Dhark, and it gives The Flash a reason to be late to the funeral (he wasn’t close to him, but it is family for Oliver)
Chris Listens To…
Still listening to stuff from the iTunes library. Last week I had 14, 239 tracks still that had zero plays. As of this blog I am at
I also found out that one track from an album I bought won’t let me play it even after I authorized it on my laptop. As much as I love the convenience of digital, I don’t have this problem with physical media.
Speaking of physical media I finished my updated list of CDs and I think I’m at 2,159 CDs. Then last night while putting some things away I find another binder of CDs that I didn’t account for. Right after I finish this latest entry I’m going to add those CDs to my list. I think there might be another 100+ albums in that binder. At some point I’m going to rip them in a Lossless format just to kick the nerd mode into another level.
Pickups!
Games
No games! The one thing I forgot to mention either last week or the week before was that I pre-ordered Aquaman for Lego Dimensions because he was $8. I don’t know if I’m going to get Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens right away. I enjoyed the movie, but I know there’s going to be a pack of all the movies and I don’t want to replay any of the games again so I might just wait. The Stormtrooper Finn is a cool minifigure bonus so that might persuade me, but as of right now, I’m not buying the new Star Wars game.
Music
This is how I get into trouble; I check iTunes on my phone when I’m waiting and what pops up
And after I clicked buy I’ve been in Grease mode for the past couple of days. It’s a bit different from the movie soundtrack but its still good. I’m going to pick up the CD version next month and of course the Target version has four bonus tracks. In the meantime I should check out the Broadway recording.
Well I am off, to sync my iDevices to iTunes, and maybe make some breakfast. Have a good weekend Pixlpeeps!
That’s all for now, more later!
-Chris
In college I played a lot of this game
I enjoyed it more than Mat Hoffman’s Pro BMX (the game that was part of the Tony Hawk side of action sports) and because of it I was a fan of Dave Mirra, and it was cool to see him in the early seasons of The Challenge as the host.
This song reminds me of being a kid, sitting in the car heading into town. Earth, Wind, and Fire have a permanent spot in my music devices because their sound is so good and there are so many memories connected to their music.
