Greetings and salutations Pixlbit! I hope all of you have had a great week so far. I just started my third Marketing class this week and I just finished my assignment so now I have time to post on here. Recently I got some games to try out but might end up keeping some.

Pickups

Final Fantasy Explorers- Last year when I went to the Gamestop Expo, they had this game being demoed. Of course seeing that it is Final Fantasy, I wanted to try it. From what I remember, I didn't really know what I was doing. I was just roaming around killing monsters. But I knew I wanted this game. So I just went in and bought it and honestly, I didn't think I would really get into a 3DS game like this. This is basically Monster Hunter with Final Fantasy classes, weapons, monsters and characters. So far I have put 17 hours and there is still a lot to do. If you're into the Final Fantasy or Monster Hunter series, I would recommend getting this game. I didn't play that much of MH but this game got me hooked.

LEGO Marvel Avengers- I have yet to pass a LEGO game on the new consoles besides Marvel Superheroes. Haven't 100% the game yet because it was moved to my backlog. So this game begins with the second Avenger's movie "Age of Ultron.' Which I thought was a good movie but wish there was a little more to it. Anyways, you can tell this game is graphically better than Marvel Superheroes. It might not contain as much characters but from the Avenger's roster, it has started to grow on me. You go through some scenes from the second movie and later on go back to the first movie. Then you play some levels of each character's own movie scenes etc. I am about 50% done and have been playing it for about 2 days. By Monday I am hoping to finish the game.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel- I was just browsing Gamestop's website to see what new games had released and what was on sale. I noticed this game before because it was an XSEED game but never really looked into it. Until I listened to one of my favorite podcasts, PS I LOVE YOU XOXO. One of the hosts from the podcast, Greg Miller, mentioned that he wanted to play the game for a while now. I always listen to this podcast and others from the Kinda Funny guys and always look into the games they recommend. So I thought I would give this a try. Its your typical tactical RPG game. You mainly play as one character but meet up with a group of other fighters and battle through dungeons and areas. Each character has their special ability with different type of weapons. You play as the main fighter class and the other characters classes consist of medic, sniper, tank, high damage, shield etc. You get the point. The version I got was the Lionheart Edition which contains an artbook and a pin. It also comes packaged in a huge box. I got this on the Vita but it also is available for PS3.

Assassin's Creed Syndicate-  I bought this game when it first came out but traded it in because I got a lot of games from Black Friday, Star Wars Battlefront, COD Black Ops 3, Fallout 4, and the list keeps going. Recently I had an urge to play this game again so I got it when it was on sale. Funny story about this. So I go into Gamestop to get a pre-owned copy of Syndicate. When I got it I noticed there was a few papers with the manual that contain codes. Of course you would think the previous owner who traded the game in already used it but I still try those codes just in case I get lucky. In this case I did. I got the codes they didn't use but when I saw what was downloading, I noticed that I had downloaded the Season Pass as well! So for less than $40 I was able to get the game and all the DLC available.

Rune Factory 4- Another game I played before but traded. I don't know why I keep doing that. So I bought this game because I remember putting in a lot of hours before and had been wanting a farming/RPG game so I figured why not pick this up.

Well fellow citizens of Pixlbit, I shall be off to watch more Game of Thrones. I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy some football tomorrow for Super Bowl 50!! Happy gaming everyone.

I love Final Fantasy spinoffs but I didn't get this one.  Not into Monster Hunter games, and plus it's multiplayer mostly.  Seems cool though....

I actually have been playing this game solo. With portable games, I don't like to play multiplayer. I like multiplayer games on consoles and find it weird for portable games to have multiplayer. Except for mobile games. I just like the Vita and 3DS for solo purposes. I like the way MH games are but not a huge fan. But this game got me hooked.

I'm kind of on the fence about FF Explorers.  I was hoping I'd get to review LEGO Avengers, but I'm not sure now.  I like the Rune Factory games more than Harvest Moon!

I was on the fence about the game too because I didn't play a lot of MH type games but the fact that this is Final Fantasy got me interested. I took a chance on it and don't regret it. I currently stand at 20 hours and I still haven't unlocked a lot of the class jobs.

Oh, man, I love Trails of Cold Steel. I'd be playing it now, but I have the PS3 version and a dead PS3. :(

I'm on the fence about FF Explorers, but recently I downloaded Final Fantasy Tactics Advance on Wii U and started a playthrough of that. Really enjoying it.

I'm enjoying the game so far. I'm taking it slow because I usually don't do well with tactical RPGs. Sorry about your PS3. That sucks. If you're interested in getting a Vita you can always get that version.

FFE has been really fun for me. Very addicting. I tell myself i'll play a few missions but 3 hours later I still keep wanting more because I want more class jobs, weapons, and gear.
